2015 NHRA Credential Redemption/Purchase
Is anyone having issues with the new Credential Redemption/Purchase process??
I have entered for Gainesville on nhraeventreg.com as normal, no issue. Found the tutorial for the 2015 new ticketing system on nhraracer.com, OK cool. Followed the tutorial up to step 6: Enter the "Driver Promo" code and "Driver Password" provided. Where do i find the ""Driver Promo" code and "Driver Password" provided"?? Nothing shows up under Manage My Account -> My Promotions? |
Re: 2015 NHRA Credential Redemption/Purchase
I just went through this today. I had to call NHRA and talk to a lady that handles National Events. She provided me with both numbers. Then the process was easy.

It is emailed to you when you register for the event.

Re: 2015 NHRA Credential Redemption/Purchase
The promo codes are emailed to you after registering for a race. It usually takes a day or two for them to come. Then you can use those codes for the final registration step. It takes another day or two to receive the email with printable credentials. Check your spam filter if you did not receive the codes within two days of initial registration. Also, you can call Abby at main nhra number in Glendora if all else fails.

Re: 2015 NHRA Credential Redemption/Purchase
It is a typical cluster
I did mine and depending on browser the instructions are incorrect The biggest problem is the drivers credential can end up with credit card holder name which may not be the driver First set of tickets were both crew Place several calls - got a second set One crew and one driver but it is in my name - which is wrong Was told they will take care of it at the trailer today They are well aware of several issues Ron |
Re: 2015 NHRA Credential Redemption/Purchase
I had problems as well, never received the promo code, etc. Ultimately had to call and have one supply me with my convenient 8 digit alpha numeric code. Twice. One for each class. Obviously, Nhra has done their own deal now where the old ticket deal was 3rd party vendor. Another savings. Unfortunately, it appears the same IT guy that manages the always stellar performing live timing was the designer, lol. As Bruce highlighted, it appears as though it takes the better part of 4 days start to finish for the privilege of printing your ticket with your own paper and ink. Hopefully it will get smoother as time goes on.

Re: 2015 NHRA Credential Redemption/Purchase
Your investigative reporter has learned from an unamed source that the person who wrote the new process for printing credentials is the same person who wrote the new classes in Stock and Super Stock for the new cars and new motors.

Re: 2015 NHRA Credential Redemption/Purchase
But why the wait of 2 days to print your tickets that have to come via email? The old system was convenient in that you paid for the credentials and printed them right then and there. I usually don't know who is coming until the day before anyway.

Re: 2015 NHRA Credential Redemption/Purchase
This appears to be another instance of the NHRA taking a fairly simply process and making it painfully complicated.

Re: 2015 NHRA Credential Redemption/Purchase
Well it must be my lucky day... I entered the Gators this morning and just now printed my credentials and also my one crew pass for my wife... Not a hitch at all.... Maybe I should have not said that???? I just may have jinxed myself for the next ten years... Something like breaking a mirror......

Re: 2015 NHRA Credential Redemption/Purchase
I have called NHRA 5 times in the last 2 weeks. I still have not been able to get my tickets for the Gators, where and when do you get the promo codes?
|
Re: 2015 NHRA Credential Redemption/Purchase
I just called them Dan and they sent Steve a promo code and a password. I guess now it will take about 2-3 days before he will receive the tickets. It was so easy year. Go figure. Chuck

Re: 2015 NHRA Credential Redemption/Purchase
Anyone got this figured out Yet ?
Purchased my Entry for the Gators on the 18th---- No e-mails nada ! I'm not real savoy or a computer techie- I then read all of the instructions and registered on the new link -- Still no e-mail with promo code to print my credential --- called the help line and left a message- ( I hate Voice mail)-- NO Response--- e-mailed---- No Response. WTF ! You would think that NHRA would communicate to the Racers 1) that they have a new system 2) give us the proper procedures to print our credentials. |
Re: 2015 NHRA Credential Redemption/Purchase
Called again today, nothing!

Re: 2015 NHRA Credential Redemption/Purchase
NHRA just sent it. Thank you

Re: 2015 NHRA Credential Redemption/Purchase
Is it easier to just wait and get it at the Gators? I am getting nowhere but frustrated. You would think for $310 you could at least get the damn ticket. Maybe I'm old and stupid, but I did it for years. Now I can't do it. I will see if Helms can do it. He is only 50. He should know how.

Re: 2015 NHRA Credential Redemption/Purchase
If you have your password and promo code then you should be able to get your tickets.
You have to create an account on the ticket page. Once that is done you have to click on the "review policies concerning electronic credentials" before the promo code will work. The review policies is in red once you click in that and read the policy and exit that screen the review policies will be in blue print. then the promo code will work. once you are finished and checked out you will receive an e mail receipt for your purchase. I received my tickets the next day on my e mail. each ticket was its own e mail. the process wasn't too bad once I figured it out but it took me a while. |
Re: 2015 NHRA Credential Redemption/Purchase
Mike, you just have to come here and do it. I can't get it done, Kevin Helms (my 50 year old driver) can't get it done and we are leaving early tomorrow to go race. I guess I will just get it printed in Gainesville. We will be there anyway.

Re: 2015 NHRA Credential Redemption/Purchase
To enter and receive credentials for a national event is now a three step process:
1.) A racer enters a national event. The same as years gone by. 2.) In 1-2 days an email should arrive from nhra with two seperate attachments. Call Jennifer or Abby if this email does not arrive on time. Each racer must download the pdf file and register as a new racer. No matter if you have been racing with nhra for 40 years. 3.) Then the racer must plug in the promotion code and password code. Completing the pdf first works the best. Just filling out the promtional codes will give you a message that your credentials will arrive in 1-2 days but they won't because the pdf form must be completed before they will send the credentials. Basically the pdf file is a new payment registration form. And supposedly the credentials will be emailed 1-2 days later. BUT, it does not always work out that way. Keep copies of every page you fill out and be sure to print the page with your Order Confirmation number or at the very least write it on a sheet of paper. Just yesterday I helped a racer get through this process. Then we called nhra to make sure they had the completed info and that the credentials would be sent out in 1-2 days. They could not find any of the information that we submitted. They said it did not exist. We finally persuaded the lady to look under the Order Confirmation number. She was sure it would be a waste of time since the file did not exist. Several minutes later she came back and said that we would receive the credentials in 30 minutes. And we did. They came without error. So in the end nhra's system is so messed up they can not find files that are properly sumitted. For now the only way we got this done was by insisting that they look under the Order Confirmation number. So KEEP you Order Confirmation number and call them if you don't receive your credentials in 1-2 days. I don't think this is an in house project. It appears to have the name of some software company at the bottom of the pages. It's really messed up for the time being. |

And for those who are less tech savvy, good luck!

Re: 2015 NHRA Credential Redemption/Purchase
National Event entry contact: Jennifer Lowe @ 626-250-2271.
We couldn't get it figured out. Talked to Jennifer and she was really helpful and got it all straightened out. |
