Ennis Weather?
 

Can some local guys give us a local forecast for this weekend? National weather does not look good. But we all know how the Sportsnationals turned out!

These are 3 of our local stations. On 2 of them, it is showing 90% Thurs-Fri and 40% Sat-Sun.


PM Showers Saturday and AM Showers Sunday Possible.


The other station isn't showing over 40% any day.

Wait until Thurs and check the local forecasters. They are usually accurate for about 24 hours.

Keep in mind also that we have had a TON of rain this spring in Texas and if you're not parked on paved surfaces it's going to be very muddy.

Motorplex is either asphalt or gravel. Pitting in the mud shouldn't really be a problem like Houston. Now if the rain will just hold off, we might have something.

I was there for the Super Chevy event last May and many of us were parked in the grass; even at a small event like that. Glad to hear it's all asphalt and gravel now. Otherwise it would be a mess! It's raining today as we speak. Last I heard in East Texas we were like 6" above normal for this time of year.

Other than the small grass area near the staging lanes where the bikes park, I am not aware of any pitting in the grass at Ennis.

Weather looks a little better today, still spotty on Thursday and Friday, but Sat and Sunday look pretty good, as of now...
Some grass parking along some of the return roads, and little back in far lots. But much better than Houston.
Dallas area has had a lot of rain recently, but lakes are still really low. North and west of DFW especially. Panhandle area is still really dry. West TX is really dry still.
Hope it clears off and is nice for everyone.

In the pit area at Ennis. Had a quick shower that didn't, get the ground wet at 5pm. If it does rain here it will probably be one of those in and out kind of showers. I think it will be a good race this weekend.

Just watched local weather and it looks like today will be fine with the bad stuff coming this evening. Sort of looks the same for tomorrow, with Sunday looking the best.

As long as you are prepared for weather tonight I think you will be okay this weekend. there might be a few delays Saturday for sprinkles but as others said Sunday really looks good. I'm looking forward to some of the heavy hitters being at Ennis while I'll be over at Kennedale. We often get some of the Saturday first round losers rushing over to TXR for another shot at a race. We are a sick bunch. LOL
