Combo May 9th at Pacific same weekend as N Open at Bremerton
 

So 2 races scheduled on top of each other. Help us out who is going where and why? I don't know how this really happen don't know all the facts but it is what it is. The combo with a fair car count will pays well and is only one day race. This race also has the super classes running also. PM me or text if you have my number or post here. I hate that this happened was not trying to compete with another race. So Faul, Jody and Burton where you all going because I still want a shot at all you guys specially Burton still have yet to get past him like 0 for 6. To be the best you have to beat the best and you guys are the best on the west coast.

James, I left my stuff in Boise after Vegas. So I'm out :-(

Would LOVE to go to the Open but still haven't got mine to run the number yet. But I'm not exactly a "hitter" either.

Faul and Burton are out? I'm in James!!

Way I understand it is that with the highway going in at Bremerton that they moved the Open up in the schedule. It is an all too common theme around here as far as scheduling let's say a big bracket race on top of a Divisional race. You would think that the tracks located close to each other would work together on scheduling. Ya right

Looks like track opens at 8 then start making runs at 10, we are usually not the first class out. Thanks to everybody that is supporting the combo weather forecast looks good for the weekend. Since mission is not open yet any of the other guys headed down from up north Shawn Blair, John Buczynski and McKinney I think he got paid every race he came to last year. See you all there.

My car is running and waiting for paint. I still need to finish my "support trailer". You will like that if it works out. I need to shake the car down before going into the tank with you guys but I will be at the Combo no matter what. My camera is always ready.

So far that I know of we will have 11 for sure. There are some I don't know how to get of to find out. There are some coming from east of the mountains and up north from Canada. I don't think it will be our best turn out should not be to bad even with a few that I know of that normally race with us going to Bremerton. I need to start a email or a text list to keep everybody informed of what's going on, will start a list at the race. thanks everyone for your support in advance.

Good morning guys. My plan is to be there to enjoy the runs (and the fun)like in the past. As most of you know, my wife is dealing with bone cancer. I hope to have someone at the house to be with her so I can come out and enjoy the day with you guys. Things are going well at the present, so am looking forward to Saturday. Will be good to catch up with those in attendance. Hoping my plans work out. Good luck to all at this combo race.

For anyone on the fence between the two tracks, the next Pacific Combo Super Saturday is May 30, which conflicts with a three day weekend race at Bremerton running May 29-31. I don't have a FB account so I don't know the particulars of the Bremerton schedule. If the construction has them limited to a group of three day races for the season this may be the norm.

Also for those going to Bremerton for a grade point. You only get one grade point even though it's a double header.

I'll be at Bremerton for sure. I don't know if I can make it to the combo but I'm going to try. I miss racing. All work and no play makes Gaffo a dull boy!

Bremerton's season is really front loaded,, almost to a fault, becuause of the inroad issue. I'm saddened there are so many dates conflicted with Pacific, since I enjoyed the combo I went to there last season. We're hoping to be at Bremerton this weekend, if so I'm looking forward to catching up with you all, even though I'll be "supervising" instead of driving on this outing.

We'll be there along with a couple of S/Street guys. What's the easiest way to get to the track coming from Port Angeles? Haven't been to Bremerton since the late 60's.

Jim Pacific raceway is easier to find I know you been there before. I have heard back from a couple more people we are up to about 13 to 14 now.

James, as much as I would like to give you my money im still in shake down mode so ill be a Bremerton all weekend as I need the test and tune on Friday, the car does run under the index but am trying to get the clutch figured out but will be at the may30TH combo for sure. Terry

Last time I was there, we got 2 qualifying runs, is it going be the same deal? I need to get a new clutch dialed in so the more runs the better.

Jim,, if you're coming to Bremerton, of course take the 101 back towards the Hood Canal bridge, which is on Hwy 104, and after crossing hang a right onto Hwy 3 and follow it down through Silverdale, and past West Bremerton and follow it to the right down into Gorst towards Belfair. As you're climbing the hill out of Gorst, before you get to the airport, you'll see a left hand turn onto Sunnyslope Rd,, take that and follow that to Alameda and take a right, shortly followed by another right onto Old Clifton Rd. that will take you into the track. You can google map this for clarification, if you wish.

All this chatter over a stocker bracket race? People must have pedal shoes in need of a serious work out.

Current forecast is for a temp of around 81, so bring your sunscreen and wear it! Polish your car and smile for the camera :)

My dad and I both have to work. Pretty disappointing for sure. I realize that its "Just a bracket race" but its a nice laid back deal that is super fun. These have been some of the races we look forward to the most. I really appreciate the effort to organize these and us not being there is not a reflection of not having a good time attending these.

My plans are to be there early (about 9:30). Looking forward to seeing all you guys. I talked with Pete Kost on Wednesday and he will be there. Don't know if he was already in your count or not. Just curious - what is the latest count for the combo??? Weather looks to be awesome, so should be a great time for all.

James, I won't be there for this one. When we went to rebuild the engine found 4 cracks in a couple of cylinders. Hoping to have everything together for the end of May. Everyone be safe.
