Hello all.
Weather not looking Great for the return to Richmond this weekend.

One forcast no rain, one forcast 40 to 50% chance of rain.

What did we do wrong to p__s off Mother Nature?

Who's is planning to come? Who is not going to return?

I'll be there rain or shine

I really hope NHRA will make a call on this matter soon. I don't want it to be like it was 2 weeks ago when they called for rain and sure enough it did, only for them to wait until Sunday to pull the plug!

I plan to go back, I don't think anyone really know how to predict this system yet and likely will not know till late tomorrow.

Remember, Friday is T n T & parking & tech only .... Sat. is the day we all run, after one TT... It really depends on how bad the rain is on Friday night.

I don't think we have to tech in again because it is a return race. I asked one official and he said no. I hope he is right because it will be really tight trying to tech in on Saturday morning.

Bruce, I think your right... You just need to show your ticket or wrist band to get a wavier for the event ...

stupid question but if this race is rained out and moved to reading pa can we transfer it to our home division at another race

Yet another illustration of why long-range forecasts are completely useless. Just like the Piedmont Pro-Am forecast that said "90% all weekend long" that turned out to be an absolutely picture perfect weekend. They said Saturday was going to be a wash, and now look at it.

It is scientifically impossible to accurately predict weather 5+ days out. Don't even bother looking at weekend forecasts until at least Tuesday afternoon. And don't ever bother with Accuweather.com. I've been tracking weather for race events for a couple of years now, and they are the worst, by far. www.wunderground.com is the best resource.

Just checked both Weather Underground and Weather.com - both show zip for rain today, 20% or less tomorrow (Saturday). Have a nice day...
