My good friends Clay and Thomas Arnett also went 8.389 which is only .006 slower than Chris. Indy should be interesting. This race should be run on Monday and not have anything to do with stock eliminator in qualifying or eliminations. 32 car qualified field featured at Indy.

Great run!! Congrats. Think a 32 car field outside of stock for say 10,000-15k would be one hell of fun time for us spectators.

Nice run, Not impressed, sorry, NMRA mustangs have been doing it for years, Renegade are going 8.0'S. I think Chris Holbrook's N/A 352 is more impressive.

NMRA renegade can also run a bigger blower, smaller pulley, bigger tire, ported heads, bigger cams, more compression, more CI and less weight.

The FSS cars are fast considering the limitations they have to work with as stock eliminator cars. Chris and Clay are flying. And wow Don's 2.3/5.4 car is stunning fast for that combination.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the Arnetts have the fastest Stocker @ 163.73 mph ??

Actually Alan, Clay is the fastest at 163.75 which is what he ran in his Rd.2 holeshot loss to Kevin Skinner.

I think it would be just as hard for the faster car to judge the stripe at this closing rate.If your car is consistent, dialed honestly and you have a good light your chances of winning the round are as good as the faster car. My 2 cents worth

I have wondered myself what would happen if I get paired up with one of those 160 mph Stockers.
For me it would be a 50 some mph difference.

Dial honest, trim the tree, and don't look back.

Outstanding run. When will the powers to be begin to see this as "Pro Stock"? Top Sportsman has room for todays Pro cars when the owners move on to Stock.(Sorry if too progressive an idea) Imagine the cut in costs and increase in fan support. And the most important thing is they "Look like available cars"

Thats what power adders do.........although they do have the chassis sorted out well.
