Well we arrived yesterday about 3:30, got parked with no waiting in line!
I tried to post a long post yesterday and then my Verizon hot spot went out so it didn't go thru, and I didn't want to type it all last night. Maybe today will be better on the AT&T hot spot~ First of all, it is HOT!! It is going up to 93 today! There is a chance of showers every day, but doesn't look like anything major. And now for you coming in today--The signage sucks! Come in at the front of the track at the North entrance. We followed the green signs that said competitors that led to the back entrance, then had to turn around and go back to the front. Last night I made some of my famous Sex at the Racetrack drinks for me and Pam Marshall. Boy were they good on a hot day!! But potent! Hopefully Pam doesn't have a headache today! Today is tech day and getting caught up on all the gossip since the last race! Some more later!! |

Hey Ms Patsy, as usual I have too many irons in the fire! I will be in tonight, park in the morning, rush to tech and then hopefully make the first run! See you guys tomorrow hopefully. Save me a spot lol!

Good morning Ms Patsy, I'm in line and there is probably around 30 maybe a little more of us that will be using full extension jacks this weekend! By the way I am dead last, the weather got really bad last night on the way here so I found a cozy little spot at the rest area between a hundred or so 18 wheelers and slept for awhile. Got up early this morning and finished the drive.
If you've never been here you should! Absolutely a beautiful place, I've never raced here but have been here a couple times for the Nascar race and love the place. Very doubtful I will make the first run but who knows.http://i1252.photobucket.com/albums/...psghae6bde.jpg |

I haven't heard anything about any changes in the schedule. So I am assuming (and we all know about assume) that we start at 10, get 2 runs, then class. It rained a little here last night so I am assuming that track drying is in the process now. Down here in the hole, you can't hear much!
It is overcast now and calling for scattered showers this afternoon. |

You are correct they are drying the track I can hear the drier working because I'm still in line out front. The line to get in is moving very slow, I don't think they know where to put us. I've been told that there is very little room left.

We have made 2 qualifying runs and class will be up shortly! It is about 2 tenths slower than Montgomery a couple of weeks ago!

Good morning from Bristol! It is partly cloudy this morning and 70. No barometer at all. We will probably get some rain before the day is over, but hopefully not until this afternoon. I think we run 3 rounds today!

I have to apologize for the lack of reports this weekend. The internet service was not good and it was so hot I didn't do a lot of picture taken. I was also quite busy with some transmission issues yesterday morning.
First qualifying run my car wouldn't shift so I had to abort that run. I didn't make the second qualifying run because I was still diagnosing my problem, I finally had to bypass the Eshift and shift the car manually to be able to make it on the sheet. This morning I had to run David Ficacci in his beautiful camaro and nice guy too. After being real close on the tree I found myself on the wrong side of my dial in, especially after he dumped me off! I hung around for round 2 to watch Mr Bud win while Greg and I watched, then I heard sportsman were done for the day so I hit the road. Bright spot for the weekend is I'm able to be home for Father's Day, down side I have got some work to do. As Paul Harvey used to say, "Now you know the rest of the story." Happy Father's Day to all the Dad's out there |

Water coming through the track today, going to finish the Stock final at Norwalk. Not sure where all the other finals will take place.

Bristol would have to get pretty bad in order to be as bad as Epping. I happened to see some of that coverage, and was amazed at how bad cars were bouncing and flopping about.

Alan, maybe they're cursed, both being former IHRA tracks ? they sure seem to be having problems selling seats for their show. As far as the ESPN3 broadcast I did notice that when they went live I logged back on and the computer broadcast was 30 second or so delayed from live tv but when the commercials played you could watch sportsman eliminations briefly, that wasn't the case before, and just maybe if they would have started sportsman at 8 am Sunday they wouldn't be completing them at 3 separate venue's.
