Anybody LIVE from Woodburn, Or. division race

Just wondering if anybody was going to do any reporting from the division 6 race at Woodburn. The weather looks very warm but no rain in sight.

Today is Test &Tune day. Good luck to all.

Thurs 80, Fri 89, Sat 98 and Sun 96. No rain and light winds each day.

Hoping that someone will let us know how things are going and who all is there. Talked with the guys last Saturday at Pacific and several said they would be there. I know life gets in the way sometimes, but if you are there give a heads up.

If no one reports I can see if Don Little will take pics of qualifying sheets and text them to me so I can post here.

Thanks Julie for any help that you can provide. I know that DRC will post qualifying late in the evening, but sure do miss Toby Lang and his reporting. Was hoping someone would say how the weather really is and how many cars are there. Maybe even some pictures of some of the cars in attendance. Thanks again and have a great weekend.

Not the same as timing sheets but live timing "results" is on line now

Other divisions are there as well

Thanks Julie,, I'm surprised it was only 88 today,, figured it would be hotter. The heat is supposed to ramp up throughout the weekend however.

Re: Anybody LIVE from Woodburn, Or. division race

Yes, thanks to Julie Jordan and Ron Durham for all the helpful info they have provided. The last weather info that I saw said 89 today, 98 Saturday and 96 on Sunday. Hot yes, but I have been there when it was well over the 100 degree mark. I guess the heat is a factor this weekend, didn't see anyone 1.00 or more under index in Stock or Super Stock. Also, looks like the Warter family are still having issues with the new comp car. I know it has been VERY frustrating for them. This statement comes from talking with both Jim and Ryan. Anyway, thanks to all for the info and good luck to all the racers at Woodburn this weekend.

Weather update - today at 5:25 - 88 degrees
100 Sat and partly cloudy
96 Sun and sunny

Re: Anybody LIVE from Woodburn, Or. division race

I have seen the qualifying sheet on DRC and will have to revise my comments from my last post. I was going off the live timing pages and my brain wasn't figuring runs versus indexes well enough. One car in S/S and Stock made runs 1.00 under the index. I know racers have to be careful and not go 1.20 under thanks to the AHFS and all that means, but I love it when they let it loose and run it out the back door. Just me talking, so don't yell. Anyway, I also saw that Ryan made a decent run in the comp car. Still not where they want to be, but at least in the right direction. Good luck to all today. I know it's going to be HOT today and tomorrow, so get plenty of liquids and stay as cool as possible.

Super stock has just finished there first run of the day. Our weather station shows a little bit slower than yesterday but there is good tail wind

We are sneaking up on the combination for the comp car.

How about those MOPARS of Jim Isherwood and Steve Wann!

Re: Anybody LIVE from Woodburn, Or. division race

Ryan, yes you are making slow progress with the new comp car. It doesn't happen over night, but I know you and your Dad have been frustrated with it. In case you don't recognize me by my user name, we talked at an event at Pacific early this year. I was showing you some pictures of your Dad's cars from the past.

Yes Frank, something to be said for those number 1 qualifiers. I have not seen Steve Wann's car in action, but did see Jim Isherwood at Pacific on the 11th of this month. High flying Mopar action.

There is 3 heads up in the second round. Kelly vs Kielman in G/SA. Todd Gale vs Lunch Lindholm I/SA. Dan Cyr vs Chris Barnes B/SA.

Re: Anybody LIVE from Woodburn, Or. division race

I'm getting limited reports, the cell reception is not good there, Don has to walk a ways to get enough bars to text me. I do know that he and Steve Wann, our local Mopar heros, have advanced to the 3rd round.

Re: Anybody LIVE from Woodburn, Or. division race

I know the 3 heads except for one went to the fastest qualified car. Will Kelly spun badly against Greg Kielman and lost. Lots of double O lites in stock and superstock. Tough group today.

Re: Anybody LIVE from Woodburn, Or. division race

Before I forget I want to again thank those who have helped make this thread work. Julie Jordan for all she has done and Ron Durham for providing the live timing link. Also to Bob Gullett for putting up the final qualifying sheets and ladders for Stock and Super Stock. I know Bob put those in a separate thread, but, I believe, that made it easier for people to view. I know this race isn't over but wanted to get this out before I forgot to do it. How about SSDiv6 with the 3rd round sheets, very cool.

I am usually at Pacific for the Combo races, but due to conflicting obligations I will not be there on the 25th of July. Good luck to all at that event.

If anyone is interested, I will be a part of the Good Guys car show (July 24-26) at the Puyallup Fair Grounds with my display. It is a Hotwheels scale old school Drag Strip. I have well over 125 front engine dragsters, gassers and a/fx cars and stockers. It is a static display but the kids love it and I have great conversations with their parents aand them about building their own displays. Mine is 4 feet by 8 feet.

From live timing,

Thought I was going down there but won't make to Woodburn until the Mopar event next weekend. They put on a good show down there.

Yes, great job by both in very warm conditions.

Brad is on a roll. He won Pro Bracket at Pacific Raceways last weekend, winning on Saturday and Sunday.
