Identify this 69 Camaro please

Hi, Mike Hill here, I currently own the Karl Gould Hemi superbird (formally driven by Tim Richards )

I'm wondering if the 69 Camaro in the far lane is Grumpy Jenkins car? I see "Grump" on the side of the car ,but don't remember seeing pics of him in a silver Camaro. Jenkins ??? Or a different car?

I can't seem to get the picture to load.
If someone can copy it and put it here on this thread, I would appreciate it. (It's located on the KARL GOULD HEMI SUPERBIRD thread....it's the last picture posted on that thread.
Thanks,
Mike

I know the photo you're asking about. Was it you that noticed it first there? Anyway, I've never seen a Jenkins Camaro that didn't look like one. That one didn't, so I predict you're going to find out it's just a car that had a grumpy cam, was hard to start when cold, or just belonged to a grouchy old guy.

The artwork on the Camaro reminds me of the Joe Jacona "Rolling Stoned" Barracuda Funny Car.

Did Grumpy ever race a ZL1 Camaro? It sure looks like a silver ZL1 that ended up in the Muscle Car Museum in TN.

By the tower location on the left in pic. It could be aqausco drag strip. Start asking around if someone has a 1970 yearbook. I have one for 72
Put up another picture without the blowup of the grump so I can see more of the tower

Jenkins' cars were always "Grumpy's Toy", not "the Grump".

That's Maple Grove, green & white old camper, bread truck, tower, etc.
Looks like a Rubrecht pic.

No front bumper on the '55 Wagon.....Not legal for a D/MP classed car...
Would make it move to a Gas class.....

The Corvette may be the car called Rats Nest....

I loved going to Maple Grove way back when......I was there for the first time around 1967-1968

Looks like it says "Joe X Crump" behind the mustache guy cartoon image on the door.. What appears to be an "X" at first glance looks like a dress/bathing suit on a female image barely visible on the side of the Camaro. Did this bit of detective work using an old fashion magnifying glass and my 63 year old eyes.
NONE of this is worth anything but best I can do with what I have. :)
Does that name "Joe Crump" ring a bell at all for anyone?

I know my eyes are getting old,, but I'm thinking that's a '57 Chevy wagon, not a '55 there, Rich. Just my observation.

Looks like the car was named after the 1969 cartoon, Here Comes The Grump.

Are you sure that it was an original ZL1 cars? The reason I question that is the picture shows SS emblems on the front fender and the ZL1 cars were not available with the SS option.
