Prayers For Connie Woods Please!
 

Connie Woods, Jim Woods' wife whom we all know and love, is going in for major surgery Tuesday morning at 11.30. This is major, major brain surgery and she will be under the knife for many hours. Please put her in your prayers and keep her in mind Tuesday. I will try and update her condition as I get info from Jim. Thank you in advance to our racing family for helping with this. Jim

Connie is out of surgery. We can't see her for an hour or so. The surgeon said it was very difficult and it was like reaching around a door and operating without seeing . He won't know if they got it all until they do an angiogram of the brain in a couple of days. The next 2 days are very critical due to the anyerism area could still start bleeding. Our family would like to thank all of you for the outpouring of support and prayers. I will not leave Connies side till they say she is ok. She may have to go to a nursing home to recover. She is not out of the critical stage. Prayers still needed. I will post more as I know more. Again thank you all very very much. Jim

Jim posted on Facebook about a half an hour ago that Connie is still in ICU and not yet awake. The doctors are doing more tests to monitor the progress of the surgery. Jim says she is in the best hands possible. Keep the prayers going.

From Jim about 4 pm Wed.

Connie is still in ICU and not awake. They did a CT scan around 5 am this morning.the surgeon came in around 10 and said they will do another angiography on the area they operated on to check for bleeding. The awards and ranking of this hospital and surgeons is 2nd to none.Connie could not be in a better place than where she is now. Jim

Connie continues to improve. She is had all tubes and breathing apparatus removed and is bossing Jim around as usual. She told Jim she remembered she forgot to mow the back yard and that she needed to get home! That sure sounds like good old Connie to me! She currently is in PCU and the next stop will be a nursing facility so she can be carefully watched. Great news for sure! Jim
