thank you mike beard
cannot say enough about the time effort and MONEY this guy put up for us ... only to get a poor response from all the racers who continually bash NHRA and thier payouts.
i heard it was a bad weekend, and all the crap... but in reality if you wanted to race for decent paybacks from the race you coulda shoulda made it happen. if mike is dumb enough to believe all the keyboard bull and try to have another one i would be suprised... he runs a good race and does not need to have a race like this... it was US WHO NEEDED HIM ! thanks again mike ! captain jack |
Re: thank you mike beard
We second that..... Neat race

Re: thank you mike beard
I third it!

Re: thank you mike beard
I would like to thank Michael and his business partner as well.
That took alot of work to pull off an event that size. I had a lot of fun and got to run my first Class Elimination race ever as well as my first C.I.C. race. Met some more fellow class racers from this board and enjoyed listening to the seasoned veterans of this sport talk class racing. Hope there is another Class Nationals next year. |
Re: thank you mike beard
I drove the 500 plus miles just to spectate. If I had a car ready I would have raced it. Where else can you run your car flat out and not get hit with HP? The track prep was superb. I saw only a few cars have traction problems and they were blown cars on 9" tires.
You couldn't ask for better weather. You guys that are going to Indy and didn't hit this race as a tune up must be a quart short. Your lack of participation has probably doomed this race for in the future and that is a shame. |
Re: thank you mike beard
Low turn out?
|
Re: thank you mike beard
Michael thanks for putting on a great Race for class racers. The event was well run with great weather. We appreciate your efforts to bring us an event that was fun and just for our class of cars. You deserve a ton of support and praise for hosting this event. We need more racers to support Michaels events and make this a race on our schedule we never miss. We had lot's of chances to make runs and win money with his formats. Everyone was treated like a winner this weekend ! Kudos

Re: thank you mike beard
I would like to thank everyone involved. It was a great week end. Did not do any good racing but wasn't cars fault. Enjoyed seeing old friends and making new ones even if one was Billy Nees. ( Just kidding Billy ) It is a shame they did not have a good turn out
because it was a well run event. |
Re: thank you mike beard
Agreed. What a very well run race, and what a great time we all had.
Boy did alot of folks miss out on a great race.... |
Re: thank you mike beard
thanks Michael and nitro and everyone else involved in putting the race on had a great time
|
Re: thank you mike beard
Thanks Michael, Nitro Joe and everyone else involved for putting on such a great race. The weather was great and Redman had the starting line in great shape all weekend. For those of you who did not attend you missed a great show. The payouts were way above NHRA's. Sad that this was probably the last Class Nationals...

Re: thank you mike beard
It was a great race and a great time. The timing could of been better, but I'm not convinced that racers would of supported this race on the best weekend. People complain about Nhra, but when given a viable alternative they stay home. We get what we deserve. This will be the last one of these because of poor turnout and that's on all of you who chose not to show up.

Re: thank you mike beard
Not only was the car count light, the stands were empty. I'll bet the spectator attendance was even worse than the racer participation. To those who weren't there - you missed a great show!. Thanks for putting this on, Michael and Anthony!
|
Re: thank you mike beard
Thanks Michael, everything was great and all involved in putting on
"The Class Nationals" deserve a big thank you too. |
Re: thank you mike beard
Thanks to Michael, Anthony, Nitro and the whole Class Nationals Staff!
What an event! Was well worth the effort! Met some really fine people and got to see many great division 3 cars that don't come east. We had the opportunity to race every day of the event for what entry to a national event would cost to sit around for days for one eliminator and maybe run class. It's a shame due to lack of participation this event is done. Michael and Anthony have a bright future in promoting. They understand "who is the customer" and how they should be treated. This event was fun! Best of luck in your future endeavors! |
Re: thank you mike beard
Watched the Brainerd event on ESPN3, turned it on just in time for the track prep for the finals, got to watch Stock & SS. I noticed the stands were rather sparse, the wind was blowing hard and everyone was wearing jackets.
Seems to me that a class racer would prefer the Class Nats over Brainerd, other than the individuals that are close to MN. I wonder what the spectator count was. But, it is the same old story. Bitch, bitch, bitch, complain, complain, complain. When someone tries to benefit the racer by putting on a perfect class race, here comes the whiners and bashers. I am currently parked to get things in order, but if I were able, I would have been to Michaels race in a heartbeat. It is better than most national events NHRA has. I guess that chasing those elusive points and huge payouts are more lucrative. Oh, I forgot about those who protect their combos so dear to their heart. Playing the NHRA AHFS 1,000 ft game. Too bad you didn't go to OH. Wasn't there, but thank you Michael and Nitro Joe and all the people that put their heart into making the race an opportunity for class racing. Ron Ortiz U/SA flat out or get out. |
Re: thank you mike beard
I was very impressed with how professional the event was ran.
Made me feel good for handing over the entry fee money at the gate. When I was at tech, Michael threw me for a curve when he did something that other event promoters have never done to me....he thanked me for coming ! Cool. Nice touch Michael ! I hope this is not the last Class Nationals, but if it is, I will always be grateful I had the opportunity to attend. :) |
Re: thank you mike beard
My wife and I were at the 2014 Class Nationals last May, I was at the 2015 Class Nationals last weekend, and if there is a 2016 Class Nationals, I will definitely be there. My wife and I had a great time last year, and I had a great time this year. Michael and Anthony always put on a great race!

Re: thank you mike beard
thank you Michael, Nitro, and everyone else that helped put this on.

Re: thank you mike beard
This was a first class event. Big payouts, race was run very smoothly. I had a great time and every racer I spoke with loved the event. If he has this event again I will be there.

Re: thank you mike beard
Thanks for letting the NSS cars in this year, we had a great time. I'm hoping you will continue with the event, I think you will have a larger NSS field in future.

Re: thank you mike beard
It was nice seeing some of my old friends as well as meeting new ones.As a tech guy , i would like to say this event was very organized and smoothly ran. I was very pleased and honored to pair all you guys in the lanes. Only thing better would have been if i was the one being paired to do battle with these awesome racers and their beautiful race cars..I would definitely work the next one if asked to..

Re: thank you mike beard
I would like to say thank you again. was a well ran event. was looking forward to it all year just like I do the mopar nats.

Re: thank you mike beard
Thanks Michael for doing something special for Stock and S/S racers. As far as I can figure, it's the one and only race like it anywhere in the country. For those that love Class Racing, it's the best racing weekend of the year. There's time to bench race with racers you haven't seen in a while and make new friends. It's fun.
For once, we are the stars - not the filler for the "Big Show". It's just us - and all those appreciate us. And if that wasn't enough, the payouts and awards - for just about everything - are unmatched by any other event. Thanks Michael, Anthony and all of the others that gave their time to make the second Autometer Northern Class Nationals the best race weekend of the summer. I'll be at the next one. |
