85' Camaro Stocker Tires.

Hi, I am currently trying to build a 1985 Camaro for stock elem. was wondering if anyone could give me any pointers on wheel offset on the rears for 30x9x15 M/T tires. also what seems to be the preferred front tire size and front springs. Please feel free to throw in any other related info that may help me. Thanks

I Have 4.5 offset on the rear wheels.
Moroso Front Springs.
Hoosier 27" Front Tires.

X2 on tires and wheels above on my 87 Firebird.
Spend your money on the rear suspension and torque arm before worrying about the front end.
Adjustable shocks on rear, or cheaper way that worked well to start with was airbags in rear.
These cars work well, and can get you in the game without spending a ton of money. Can always tweak it later.
Good luck.

Also, in the rear, make sure you have the stock sway bar, it will make the car leave even.
I have an air bag on the right side too.
I use all the S & W suspension parts too.
Afco Double Adj. rear shocks.

Rear wheels 15 x 10 w/ 5-1/2 bs or 15 x 8 w/ 4-1/2 bs

I had Hoosier 30x9 radials on it. Dont remember if they were 94 or 92.5 rollout, Was several years ago. Had 8" wide rims, but would use 10" wide if I did it over.

Let me see if I can save you a few bucks in General. Buy the good parts/the parts you really want on the car the first time. I wish I had waited another year to get my car ready. And bought all the good stuff the first time around. Its not a big deal as I can Keep all of my "first time around, lets just get it going parts" as spares. But I did waste a significant amount of money doing it this way. Because I'm now going back and replacing those "OK they will get me going heads" with the "best money can buy heads" ect ect ect now. My plan worked in that I got it going and got to try the class without spending huge amounts of money. But I should have known I was going to get hooked on this and buy the good stuff at some point anyways and saved myself some work and money.
