R.i.p
It is with great sadness and heavy heart I post to everyone, the sudden passing of Bill Edgeworth.
Bill lost a quick short battle to cancer. He was dear friend to me and many people, and will live on in our hearts and memories. A service will be held Saturday Oct 3 2015 at 2pm in Lakewood Wa. I will post the address on Wednesday when I get it. Shawn Kvaas |
Re: R.i.p
So sorry to hear this,, didn't know Bill well, only talked a few times in the pits. Thanks for posting Shawn. Bill was one of a shrinking number of racers from our Tacoma area.
His Firebird always ran well. R.I.P. Bill. Danny Durham |

Re: R.i.p
Bill Edgeworth ran the real fast K/L/SA Firebird, correct? This is sad news, as he was very forthcoming with alot of info, when i was just starting my Stocker build... I never had the opportunity to meet him in person... My condolences to his family and close friends...RIP Bill

Re: R.i.p
Went to the service yesterday,,, a nice, simple one at Bill's place of employment, a manufacturing plant and the racecar and trailer were on display. I learned that the whole operation was sold this past week, the car will stay local and hopefully will debut at Vegas under a new team. Service was well attended.

Re: R.i.p
I am so glad the service was well attended. Bill was a very well liked guy and a very knowledgeable racer.
Brent, glad Bill was able to help you, too bad you never got the chance to meet him in person. He was a great guy to talk with and very passionate about class racing. |
Re: R.i.p
We were out of town and didn't hear of Bill's passing until today. So sad.
Bill was one of those rare racers that did most of his own engine work, and yes that Pontiac did fly! He was always willing to help other racers. Bill was a nice man and will be missed by many. Our thoughts are with his family. |
