PA Dutch Classic - New Records and Class Winners
 
As they say - better late than never - and yeah , I know its late but I finally got a complete list of new record holders ( both 1/4 and 1/8 mile) and class winners in both Stock and SuperStock .And when my fingers get done hurting I've still got a pile of pictures to post .

did not think you could set 2 different class records with the same car at the
same event ?

I spoke to John at the event. He had to withdraw from the event in SS/CA and re-enter in SS/DA. This allowed him to set both records.

After First record pass in SS/CA engine/ carbs/ heads were marked.

Fuel and weight were checked after every subsequent pass for the record class.

The only difference for SS/CA (3355lbs min) and SS/DA (3585# min) was the weights, so either I passed and had both records or…… And as Jeff already posted, I had to withdraw from SS/CA and Re-enter (new tech card) for SS/DA and run the event in that class. I pulled it apart Friday morning as the air hadn't gotten any better and my only purpose there was the records. I had planned for better air, but, the air I did have made the records doable.

The Hemi "Valve Cover" bolt hole on the intake face that caused a lot of drama a few years back….

I would like to thank Ray, David and all the guys at Ray Barton Racing Engines for all there help! We may be leaving a little on the table with the "legal" head, but thats the way they fly there. First Class!!

Congrats to all new record holders and class winners! One day we hope to be fast enough in good air to come to the "Dutch" and drink the Kool-aid.
