50 Years of Racing
 

I thought i would put a little spot Light on my friend Vic Santos. Vic Just Finished His 50th season of Drag racing. Vic has raced many brands and makes of cars over the years. From A GTO, to a Chevelle to his currant ride A Pontiac Firebird. Over the last 28 years Vic Has Worked hard to make the Pontiac 400 combo run so well. Like Last weekend at the Dutch Classic coming from the Number one qualifying spot with a 9.99 run on his 11.20 index in GT/IA to a Runner up finish to John Armstrong. Vic has won numerous races from Divisional to All Star races to National opens. Always putting his Firebird in the top 16 of Qualifying, along with several number one spots. CONGRATULATIONS MY FRIEND ON 50 GREAT YEARS OF RACING.!!! I hope you go for 55.

Having raced with "the Professor" for just a few years, I have learned a great deal about Drag Racing, Race Car Preparation, maintenance and weather evaluation/ET Predictions. To say that Vic is meticulous in his attention to detail, is an understatement! He is a "true racer" who enjoys building and preparing his Pontiac as much as driving it. His success should not come as much of a surprise; as he works as hard as anyone out there! 50 years of Racing is clearly an amazing accomplishment- you have come a long way since the days of taking the rear end out of your street GTO on Friday nights so you could race that weekend!

What can I say that hasn't already been said. Vic has accomplished quite a bit during his career ; one that may or may not look somewhat different as time goes on , but is far from over . As I have said and will continue to say , " When in doubt , ask Vic ".
