Tommy Sizemore - Cylinder Head RIP OFF
Just had a nice conversation with racer also screwed by Tommy Sizemore from California.
Took 2 years to get his parts back..well most of them !! Had to get Consumer Affairs involved. Learned Tony Sizemore has a history of ripping people off. Including a person in Europe who trusted him for $6500. Never saw their heads and never heard from Mr. Sizemore. One of the great things about our hobby and love of racing. We have a tight network of good people. Most of us in a drop of a hat would help anyone. Then along comes the lone wolf. All of us are trusting souls and we get screwed by this type of person. Learned a lesson and best way to deal with it is to post a warning. Warning! Headbytes is owned by Tony or Tommy Sizemore. He has a web site and posts his work on youtube. Advertises that is he a crack head porter and can fix broken heads. Likeable convincing person, knowledgeable and unreliable. I will get over this. Have a great holiday season. Dan Fahey |
Re: Tommy Sizemore - Cylinder Head RIP OFF
He has a cyl head of mine for almost 2 yrs and told me about 3 months ago that he was going out of business. He has been paid in full because he told me over a year ago that the head was done. so be careful my fellow racers dealing with this guy

Said same thing to me in October. Update: Here is the contact information on Tennessee Consumers Protection Agency Kristen Aplin - Consumer protection Specialist Department of Commerce & Insurance Nashville, TN Kristen.f.aplin@tn.gov 615-532-7628 Said they have been in contact with Tony Sizemore who promised to clean up his situation. He used serious family issues for his reasons, just as what we have heard. They have not heard from him in a while. It looks like there are dozens of people who have been mistreated by Mr. Sizemore. Some got their stuff back after 2 years. Going to file a complaint even though it will do nothing except document another case against Mr. Sizemore. Dan |
Re: Tommy Sizemore - Cylinder Head RIP OFF
Watching his youtube video's stuff reminds me of the way cave men would do things.
|
Re: Tommy Sizemore - Cylinder Head RIP OFF
One of his customers put up a pic of a head he supposedly ported, the bowl and throat were untouched, no valve job and it looked like an 8 year old kid attempted his first port match.

Re: Tommy Sizemore - Cylinder Head RIP OFF
I know from experience that he is a liar and a crook. He ruined a set of stocker heads for me that would never pass tech

Re: Tommy Sizemore - Cylinder Head RIP OFF
OMG the head is moving as he is using the stone,

Re: Tommy Sizemore - Cylinder Head RIP OFF
There is an extensive chain of unhappy people with this guy. I did a search about a year ago, as Gary's name had come up. People sent this guy heads and paid upfront and then he would disappear. He worked for someone else then went out on his own, had a bunch of personal and financial issues and people got the short end.
Do your research before entrusting someone. Its unfortunate that this happened to you Dan. Sean |
Re: Tommy Sizemore - Cylinder Head RIP OFF
Bobby i had a set of heads that were done when he actually had a job at simpkins that he cllaimed credit for. Then he done a set own his own that he ruined. He took a set of my heads before he got fired there for his lying and not showing up for work and that has been 7or 8 years and have not seen the heads since so i advise you not to mess with him unless you just want to throw them in the trash

Was a bit embarrassed to bring this up. But our racer community needed to know about Mr. Sizemore. Saving another person from getting ripped off is good enough reward. Hopefully this time he is permanently out of business. Peace! Dan |
Re: Tommy Sizemore - Cylinder Head RIP OFF
Just a FYI, You can be banned for naming names here. I've been warned and had my post removed for sharing my experience with a unscrupulous engine builder.

Re: Tommy Sizemore - Cylinder Head RIP OFF
People watched his video, and still sent heads to him? And, what other shop wants paid for labor up front?

That violates my Free Speech. Especially when it comes to warning about a person who is doing harm. There is one thing to falsely accuse someone, got that ! But not warning the community about a person who is actively harming people for almost a decade, that would not be very responsible of me. Kind of like warning the community of a dangerous person. BUT oppss...you can get kicked out of that community for the warning. Does not make sense.. Mr. Sizemore is not a person who made one mistake. He is actively selling his services. Convinces us he can do the job, takes our money up front, lies when the product is not delivered on time, and then keeps our stuff. A rare few have gotten their parts back after harassing him only to receive bad work and they were the lucky ones !!! This is a fact...not just an accusation. He has been reported to Consumer Protection. I verified this myself and going to file a complaint. Plus the feedback from other races who have experienced Mr. Sizemore. Mr. Sizemore is a serial habitual lair and I do not say that lightly. I do not hate him but his behavior is harmful. Mind you he is one hell of a salesperson. Talks the talk, uses YouTube, has an interesting web site. Most companies would kill to have his smooth talking warm tone inviting personality. Mr. Sizemore should not be working in the Machine Shop. He should be out at the Race Tracks and Industry events Selling for a Machine shop convincing people about how good they are. Mr. Sizemore missed his calling. Should have gotten a suit, shave, hair cut, some fitness and ethics training. Be Fair Be Ware !! Dan |

There is another that is known to be the best with a specific Ford engine and porting, that has taken people's money and parts only to have wound up in jail and not returned countless phone calls and emails. So I would not say that Sizemore or this guy are known class racer porting shops. If someone does not have the funds to take on a project and bill as the job progresses that is a red flag on their business financial well being in my opinion. Sean |
Re: Tommy Sizemore - Cylinder Head RIP OFF
You would think just seeing his video would be red flag.

Re: Tommy Sizemore - Cylinder Head RIP OFF
He's from California????? I've seen those videos, like the spray welding a set of rare High Performance 352 FE heads, and assumed he must live in the Deep South, perhaps a trailer park in a swamp.
|
Re: Tommy Sizemore - Cylinder Head RIP OFF
Deep South? I can almost see the gulf. South enough? I got a couple of trailers, but my 5 Drag Paks sorta live there. The swamp is at least a mile away. Course all of us down here are dumb as a clump of marsh grass. Maybe worse. But we ain't as dum or igorant as some people here. We do, however, have webbed feet.

Re: Tommy Sizemore - Cylinder Head RIP OFF
Naa Jeff. I figured he was from them thar hills in the south... more like "Jawja". Pretty sure you guys would have fed him to the gators before it got that widespread.

They have gators in Florida also don't they? There a scum bag in Waldo I'd like to introduce to a gator.

Thanks for trying.. Just got off phone with Bob Imoff from California. Was touching base with him on any news. He said the guys from Europe got one set of their two sets of cylinder heads back. Nothing was done to them. Considering the quality done to other people heads. Getting them back at all untouched would be a victory. At least you can plan the next step. Have a great holiday. Best you and your family. Dan |
Re: Tommy Sizemore - Cylinder Head RIP OFF
Oddly enough people in the metro New York area are very careful about who they rip off.
I'm not saying nothing if you know what I'm saying. |

All I'm saying is a Adirondack is a beautiful baseball bat. If you know what I'm saying.
|
Re: Tommy Sizemore - Cylinder Head RIP OFF
Baseball is popular in New York.
|
Re: Tommy Sizemore - Cylinder Head RIP OFF
Know any guys who like to play "Baseball" who would be willing to travel to the midwest to help a guy out? LOL
Before anybody gets all upset and calls the law. Its a JOKE. |
Re: Tommy Sizemore - Cylinder Head RIP OFF
I am sure Adirondack makes nice bats but...nothing beats a Louisville Slugger. Just ask Carrie Underwood ...LOL

Re: Tommy Sizemore - Cylinder Head RIP OFF
Appreciate the sarcasm and sense of humor.
Already resigned to the fact I will never see my Cylinder Heads again. Xmas is coming and my new Bullet Pure Stock Cam and related updated parts have arrived. D |
Re: Tommy Sizemore - Cylinder Head RIP OFF
Merry Christmas!
I hope your Bullet camshaft makes the difference for you. Quote:

Also, if any of the heads or money was sent through the USPS, then you may want to contact the postmaster general. I know outside the US many people send items through the post rather than commercial carriers. Good luck. |
