I found a 2016 Cobra Jet on eBay, I know Larry is looking for a new car. I think He would fit very nicely into this one.

That body style looks real good as a CJ.
Slight forward rake really works well with that body style.

Is this the first CJ to come with both door mirrors ?

Good eye. The older ones don't have any mirrors. I wish mine did. It is a real pain to backup for an old guy who can't turn his head very well.

That car has a VIN. I didn't think real CJ's had VINS.

Ford Racing or whoever sells these units to dealers is probably none to happy with this dealer.....probably be his last "special-order". Didn't Mopar have the same type of issues with some of their dealers who just bought a Hellcat to resell at higher than normal margins.....didn't Mopar end up locking down the resale market.

That is pretty strange -- COPO's and Drag-Pak cars have serial numbers but not VIN's.

That is odd they have a VIN but probably not an issue as long as they do not have a serial plate on them that says it meets federal standards for safety and emissions. We don't build cars but some of the trailers we build we put a serial plate on that says "Off Road Use Only".

All Cobra Jets have a rotation number on the dash but not a VIN. The cars are numbered one through fifty. The dealer gave EBAY that VIN so that it would be for sale in all of the Ford categories not just under race cars. If you list a race car on EBAY, you do not need a VIN but it will only be viewed under race cars that are not street legal. The car listed for sale is Cobra Jet #6 according to drivers rear window. Those pictures were taken at Watson Engineering where the cars are assembled. I don't believe Ford Racing has started releasing the cars yet. The dealer is trying to get a jump on the sale before the other cars are available. I don't think using a VIN for a different Mustang is really legal but EBAY doesn't know the difference and probably doesn't care. The seller is the one who is misrepresenting the car. I think an Attorney General would take a dim view of representing a motor vehicle with a different VIN than the one for sale. I believe the price is the list price on a 2016 CJ. The only two options are graphics and wheelie bar which this car has both.

Read the add again. It is not the VIN. Only an E-bay requirement. !!! ATTENTION !!!



The VIN# Listed is NOT the actual VIN# of the car.

CobraJets do not have a VIN# due to the fact they are not street legal.

VIN is required only for listing on eBay.
