The Dark Side

Beware!!!! One of our own has seen the Glorious Light and left the Dark Side. One of the hard core old stuff racers has moved one hundred and eighty degrees. Maybe all the old car guys might want to take up a collection and get some professional help for this individual. This is probably old news, but it needs the Forum's attention.

Is that the drag racing equivalent of "radicalized"? Or "salvation"?

Billy Nees 12-07-2015 09:33 AM

Re: The Dark Side

Gee Dwight, I guess that would depend on which side of the "aisle" you're sitting on.

Definitely 'radicalized'...since few fell for the 'out of this world' (i.e. Saturn) hoax seemingly they turned to a more sinister perversion of the true faith. But redemption is at hand...I have every confidence that this too shall pass and the earth will return to it's normal axis.

Re: The Dark Side

That wasn't a person that was at the front of the complaint line regarding the "new" cars was it?? A person that was THAT vocal about the inequities couldnt have a change of mind could he???

Jeff Teuton 12-07-2015 12:56 PM

Re: The Dark Side

Well you know, it probably was. Radicalized; I like that. It is about the equality of the Dark and Light side.

Is this the "Saturn" from the Las Vegas trip? Jeff had a "you break=you buy" clause in the contract?

Re: The Dark Side

If Stock Elimanator continues to exist it will be heavily populated by many more of the new cars. Athough they are not economical they have many advantages and are true race cars. Not production line automobiles that are heavily reworked.

Congrads on your new to you drag pak. Which motor combo is it?

By Jeff's original post, I thought you had acquired a Cobrajet, which would have been going over to the dark side!

Is a nice Christmas gift...had kinda of lost track of that DragPak since Brandon Wood ran it some a while back. Very nice car as I recall.

Radicalized but not complete heresy...congrats Larry and Patsy.

Re: The Dark Side

The motor in the new Pink Car was covered under Mopar's extended warranty. I thought a stock thing with powdered rods and cast pistons and everything else stock should stand 7500 RPM. We have a sorta stock 392 on the dyno now, not started yet, and waiting on the stock replacement. We will know when we get it apart. The hole in the side and the rod that is already out are not normally a good thing.

Next fall when TRUMP is president, he's banning all new cars; Copo's, Cobra Jets, and Drag Pacs, from entering NHRA competition - Until NHRA figures out what the Hell is going on!

Jeff - Hardcore is certainly not strong enough for Larry but you know it was only a matter of time till he saw the light - thanks to you ! ! He'll be having so much fun next year that the professional help won't be necessary .

And one more thing to Larry - welcome to FS / D -- jump right in .......but watch for the sharks !
