There has been no greater supporter of class racing and racers in general than Tom Van Poppel. We met on the old Compuserve Racer Network almost twenty years ago. We've lost a good friend and the world is a lesser place without him. Our sincerest condolences to his entire family.

Just saw the post. Sorry to here of his passing. Knew Tom as far back as the mid 60's when he and Wayne were partners . He would stop by my Amoco station and talk racing and watch me work on someones race car.
A good man and will be missed by all. R.I.P. TOM
