Hi Gang - If I ever had good news for you it's today ! ! Looking at the rest of the week weather wise - we're only going to have as they say- "Chamber of Commerce" weather .You know ,sunny with blue skies and temps near ninety .Nope , I didn't stutter , nine -o , ninety .So get off the fence and head on over ASAP as you're now run out of excuses .And for those of you headed to Bowling Green - I say good luck to you and enjoy the drive .

The line is already forming - entry will commence at 4 pm going until 8 tonight .

Tomorrow will be test n tune along with Tech .....back a little later .

Track opens at 7:30 AM to 8 PM.


It was nice to see Maple Grove open the gates today for us early birds. Not many rigs here yet, about 75 I would guess. I found a few cars out but most racers were just getting settled in for the week. I did find it strange to see a McLaren 570S parked all by its lonesome in the holding area. Its a very cool car that runs high 10's. Way out of my price range starting $190,000, I can always dream though.

Good morning all, its a beautiful warm sunny day. It will warm for the rest of the week with temps in upper 80's. A slight chance of late day showers but nothing to worry about, it should be a good week for racing.

Test and tune will start at 11PM and run until 5PM. No lines to get in as they opened the gates early. Still room to park on black top if you wish, but the fields are all in great shape and with very little chance of rain you can pick the spot you want.

Today was exactly as promised - blue skies ,sunshine and I dare say just plain hot.Not a record setting day but it's the one we've been waiting for .Still some great pit space left if you're on your way here .

Anthony Bongiovanni brought out his new '16 Mustang and talk about craftsmanship - stop by and take a look - enjoy the pics till then .And BTW, it made some fast shakedown runs today even with the heat and humidity .

Is this similar to the dutch classic as far as the amount of classes and car count?
I never attended this race and would need to take off from work to do so.
I hope it's worth missing work for

There will be more class cars at this race, its definitely worth coming out. Here are a few shots from today, it was warm but I will take it over the cold any day. Tomorrow Stock will be out first at 8:30AM for their first qualifier.

We are scheduled to start in less than an hour with Stockers getting on the track first .Don't expect any fabulous times as it's already above 2400 feet and climbing fast .The barometer is at a paltry 29.49 with the humidity above 60 percent .

So what's the problem about going fast? The weather conditions would be considered go here in the Mid West. You will be hard pressed to get a station pressure of 29.49 here (Indy). Normal high here is around 29.20-29.35. Just put the Indy tune up and go race.

So far Stock and SuperStreet got their shot at the track and as advertised it's a bit slow .S/S up in a bit .Timing tower is having some computer problems so as soon as sheets are available i'll post 'em .

As you'll see our division hitters are in attendance ...........With more coming next round.

Temps have reach into the low 90's and its been a long day. We have had a few oil downs. Super Stock had 30 minute oil down and a Alcohol car just dumped oil from the starting line to the 1/8 mile, it looks like it will be a long delay.

Good morning members and guests - Today is to be another stinker with high temps and humidity in the forecast here .Last night was a bit late with blowups, oil downs and other stuff - but they did manage to get clean-ups in for some late arriving racers .

With 110 Stockers here who says Sportsman racing is dying?And more are expected to come in this AM .Even S/S has 87 which is very ,very good for them .Speaking of Stockers - David Barton is on the provisional pole with his '15 COPO with one qualifing session left and S/S has Donald Belles in his Cobra Jet leading the pack so far .

Stockers are out first this morning in under two from now .....back then .

Heard today that thanks to an insane amount of Jealousy on the behalf of NHRA. Rob Jackson of Robz need for speed videos got escorted off the starting line and was told if he posts anything they will shut him down.. He was told he is only allowed to video from the stands. And still isn't allowed to post it.




Hello Everyone. It is true, I asked for starting line credentials today and was given them to video, then when they realized it was video(they were'nt listening?) they stopped me. I contacted the NHRA like I did two years ago when I got permission to continue doing what I was doing, this time they just quoted me All Access. When I asked a couple of questions on what I could do to be within NHRA guidelines I was told there was nothing I could do. I was told and I quote, "I could go on NHRA.com and click on the link, sign the appropriate paperwork requesting permission for an event, and it would then be denied!" I then found out I made Glendora's watch list as of January this year! I'm so proud!

Ron, I am not sure.

Stock has had their first round as did Super Comp and Super Street. Super Stock was just about done when we had a major oil down. Super Gas were in the lanes but they turned them around. They will finished up with Super Stock, about 10 pair and then go into the Alcohol cars and finish off with Jet cars and wheelstanders. Not sure where they will fit Super Gas in tonight. I decent crowd for a division race on a very hot holiday weekend. Only one round of eliminations today, we will finish up tomorrow.
