Sorry to say that our 2 ACE reporters will not be here this weekend. The Hill's have opted to attend a D 2 race and Mike Delahanty is parked due to engine failure at the Norwalk race. Racing gets underway at 9 am tomorrow morning with Super street out first.......

MJ - Thanks for taking the lead. I've always enjoyed your color commentary and inside news reports. I was doing OK till Bill Dyer called me yesterday from the track - It's going to really bother me not being with you guys this weekend. I'll be watching D3TV instead.

Good news is that the engine rebuild is progressing - lots of parts ordered and block & heads are in line at the engine builder. I'll never put a beehive valve spring back on one of my engines - no safety net. I'm glad the spring broke at engine start-up and not at high speed - there would have been nothing left to salvage.

I'll be watching from D3TV also as I'm laid up with a serve pulled hamstring and been ordered to take it easy for a while. Hope to see everybody at our Buckeye SS/stock race at Xenia next week as I'll be on my golf cart 99% of the time

I have a warning for racers at Joliet rt66 divisional. The pre stage bulb in the left lane flickers after you stage. I made the shoot out in S/G, but the prestage bulbs flickering, threw me off, and I got a bad light. They knew about it, nhra, and continued on. Be aware for Saturday. I hope nhra fixes it. But beware. I did not go red

9 30 am and sprinkles are delaying the start of today's racing. Stock and SS are scheduled for 1 time trial and stock elims are supposed to get underway after noon time....We will see what Mother Nature has planned for today.....

Good morning. As MJ has reported, Saturday is starting off with overcast and gloomy skies and the racing is on hold. This rain delay makes is 3 for 3 for the 2016 D3 schedule - or 4 for 4 if you want to include Bowling Green.

This first band of showers has passed and racing started about 10:30 with SST and STK to follow. Not bad, just a 1 hour delay.

Yes, I wrote the First band of showers - as radar shows a another band approaching from the west that could arrive around lunch time.

They are back to racing about 3:00. And before SC continues, TJ Zizzo takes a test run in the Rustoleum TF car. No word on schedule adjustments - but they are 3-4 hours behind. The announcer has a classic SNL "Superfans-like" strong Chicago accent. I want him to say "polish sausage".
