Stock Chasis Builders
 

I was wondering who are some of the big names in the stock and super stock world to do the fabrication work on my 2004 GTO. Money is not an issue just want someone who understands the rules and does good work. If you can work from the st. louis region out that would be awesome.

Will you be running Stock or S/S? It does make a difference in choosing a builder. Be careful who you select because while there are many excellent pro and/or bracket chassis builders, it takes a builder who completely understands the rules in Stock or S/S to do the job correctly.

Glad to see another Holden/Pontiac GTO being built for Stock Eliminator, I really like those cars. Since that car is more than slightly unique and different frame/body/chassis wise, I would make sure to contact Jimmy (Cooter) Hildago and see if he would let you know about who built theirs. His stocker GTO hooks and leaves like a superstocker.

On a similar note, whatever happened to Jack Matyas' GTO ??

Yeah I am planning on building a 2004 GTO Stocker. Yeah that is the biggest thing is them knowing the rules about stock.

PK race cars is another excellent builder. My last Stock legal car was built by PK and it was very well done. I bought the car as a rolling chassis and believe PK race cars is in Ohio. The previous owner of the car was from Ohio.

Lots of very good chassis builders mentioned. Pat and Andy Kroenenbitter at PK race cars are two of the best. Looking at your user name I would guess you are in D-3. If your are, feel free to come by and look at my son Andrew's car. PK did that car and also Rick Winchester's new 71 Corvette, it's spectacular.

I would love to take a look at your car the next race I will be at is the topeka race then St. Louis if you are at either of those I would love to stop by.

We are going to Columbus points race, probably St.Louis, then Bowling Green and Indy. If you're going to be in BG I think Cooter Hidalgo will be there with his GTO like the one you want to build.

The two finalists in the Factory Stock Showdown have Mike Roth chassis work. Barton and Arnett. As did Bruno.

There's Mike Pustelny aka MPR, who also built the prototype factory stockers for the big 3, then everyone else trying to be #2.
