We arrived about 8:30 last night and after chatting with Joe and Alice for a while, spent the night in stacking. They started parking right on time at 8 this morning and we are now parked down in the hole. It is pretty much full down here with just a few open spots. But lots of room up on the hill and I guess back across the bridge. It is overcast and looking to be about 90 today. The rest of the weekend looks great!
I spent the last few days with my sisters at the beach in Biloxi, MS and Larry went to Tulsa to the divisional race by himself. I now have to try and figure out what I have in the fridge and what I need to go shopping for!! The stacker axle is fixed and we brought the Saturn with us so some restaurants may be in our future! Tech is going on now and just unloading! More later! Patsy |

Miss Patsy, the first thing is adequate beverage supply, or stop by the supermarket. Then stir controversy with your espouse in command. That is day one and of course the pictures. Just thought I would help out a little.

Only 33 stockers made the first run. Some rigs were still pulling in as we went up to run so probably some people had not gotten teched yet. Air was 3470' and slow. We only went 10.42 at 125. Brian Rogers had a little trouble with his run and of course some were letting off.

Not one Pro category is a full field today-- (or most of previous events -Englishtown was a shock) ..(so far) ! Are the Pro Stocks just going to let a Summit car get a bye almost every event? Are the marginal fuel guys just saying not worth the effort? The money ..? |

Unless you are "really well funded" lots of them can probably make a few de tuned passes as a booked in show and have less hassles less expenses and do a little "testing" at a local track and make some money. Don't ya think?

Patsy, thanks for the great pics from beautiful Bristol.
Bob Letellier has done very well for himself since the days I raced in D1. Bucky is not afraid to put laps on the Kandy Cuda. Kevin Elliott's open trailer is way cool. Lastly, I hope Mr. Jeff is doing well. |

For crying out loud NHRA, wake up and smell the coffee, Bristol races need to be in March or April in the spring, and September or October in the fall. Well we are still here in Bristol just relaxing and enjoying ourselves. We cooked a good meal on the grill tonight and now Larry has already gone to bed!! We rode around a bit this afternoon and then went down and talked to our favorite pro stock driver Drew Skillman and took a few more pics.

Boy is it quiet in the sportsmen pits on Sunday morning! Lots of rigs have pulled out and the ones still here aren't doing too much. I think I will try to get the inside of the motorhome cleaned up today before we hit the road in the morning for Norwalk. According to the schedule they are stacking on Monday so we are going to try to get there tomorrow. I think it is around 450 miles from here.
