Combo at Pacific raceway on the 9th

July 9th the weekend before Woodburn Divisional race. I have 16 people confirmed that will be there which is the usual cast of characters. We are try to get hold of enough for 32 car field. There are a lot of people in the Oregon and Canada and local here in Washington I don't have contact info for. t spread the word about this race. we did have great number of cars the first 2 race so far this year. We believe we have fixed the issue with the track. I was not racing at the time also and did get the word out. We are running the race the same as before with $40 to get into the track and we then collect $60 for the purse which we pay all out at the end of the night cash. Chris Barnes should have a surprise for everybody that shows up. If you got question call or PM me. If you are at the Mission bracket race ask Dave Jung about the race here.

James, thanks for the heads up about the 9th. Glad to hear that the issue is, hopefully, worked out. I always enjoy these events and am glad to help, as usual. The weather should be good and if we got a 32 car field, WOW. Always a great time and looking forward to getting together with all who attend. See you on the 9th.

If you want to stay local, Bremerton is running a full schedule this weekend. They are open Fri, Sat and Sun.

Good job Dave. The more racers that we can get the better for everyone. Will be more work for the ladder guy (me), but well worth it. I am getting excited for this race. I hope we get to 32, would be very cool. See you guys next Saturday.

I am hoping all goes well and everyone has a great time.

Does anyone have a better weather forecast for Saturday?? Everyone that I look at shows rain. Let's hope that doesn't happen and this race is a go.

Looking forward to seeing all of you on Saturday so let's do a rain go away dance. Yes, I know weather can change quickly around here. Been in this area over 65 years.

Ron, do not talk about that thing you are talking about!

My car won't run the index yet, so I'm still a Sportsman guy.

Just stating the facts Dale. I hope we can get the race in, they are a lot of fun. The last one was rain delayed but we still had a great time.

Just curious, how far from index are you??

12.76 on an 11.75 index for GT/MA - 68 Cougar 302/230 in a 68 Mustang coupe. That's on ET Street Radials dragging mufflers and a 16 gallon fuel cell. I ran consistent 12.80s foot braking last weekend at Bremerton. Hooking up the trans brake and going to slicks might do it.

Towing in on the street tires that I carry in case I get caught in the rain and swapping for slicks out of my Tiny Race Trailer would take no more time than all the pressure changes I have to do now. Drop the pressure to race and pump them back up to get home.

Re: Combo at Pacific raceway on the 9th

We got the race in. Started late because of weather, only one qualifing hit then into eliminations. We had 14 cars, Alot didnt show because of the weather was not looking good. Final was Brian Seaburg over Bill Bushmaker, semisfinalist were Jim Storms and myself. Thrash of the day was Burton changing a tranny he didnt Miss a run and he was doing double duty also running in pro. A couple of out guys did well also bracket Racing that Night, Brian Thompson runner up in pro and Rick green went to the semis in sportsman.

Thanks for giving the results Jim. I have been busy and had just seen the question about the event and was going to reply. Considering the weather I think the event went well.
