Great Lakes Stock - S/S Combo Race September 18 at Milan
 

The last GLSSA race of the year will be September 18 at Milan Dragway. Gates open at 9:00 - time trials at 10: We draw for pairing and run off a ladder.

We are opening up the race to Nostalgia SS cars as run in NMCA. This is similar to what the Buckeye Series runs. Pass the word to all of your Class Racer and NSS guys.

Let's bring them Stockers, Superstockers and NSS cars out on Sunday and show some support for the Great Lakes Stock/SS Association.
Mike has put a significant amount of effort/energy into organizing this deal. Scheduling dates that do not conflict with other (NHRA/IHRA) events AND other Milan commitments takes a lot of work. Also, Milan has done a great job of giving us priority on our race dates AND gives us a hell of a good racing surface to run on.
I read on class racer where several of the other combo races are getting 20,30 or more cars.
No reason we can't make this a top shelf S/SS group. It's fun, not expensive, good competition and does not require a multi day commitment.
Load 'em up and bring 'em out! You'll have a good time!

Thanks Mike for the invite. Had a good time even though both cars broke. Just minor problems will be fixed this wk. Loved being able to race with the nhra class cars. Will def do this again next time.

Congratulations to Dan and Bobby for their respective win and runner-up at Milan.
Thanks again to Mike for doing a great job of organizing the series. Hopefully yesterday's turnout (33 cars) will convince Mike to do this again next year.
As evidenced by the payout to win ($960), getting a good car count makes this a worthwhile day at the races.
Also, Thanks to Russ Abrams for his help getting the lanes organized.
Already looking forward to next season!!

Terry, is that a Super Coupe with the fender flares? I noticed NHRA has the Kit Car package in the classification guide.

:) James the 1978 Aspen is a real and original Super Coupe, came with the fender flares and trunk wing. I saw the Kit Car in the guide, that would be a neat car also. Terry

Very nice cars. I need to make a trip to see my dad and make a race. He would enjoy that. Neat race you have going there.
