Hyatt racing service

I need a bell housing recertified , and I would like to know if any one has any dealing with Hyatt racing service lately?😞

Call the number on their website and ask. Tim's son Chris did some clutch work for me earlier this year, but I don't know the complete situation.

I had a bell recerted shortly after Tim's passing . I was told they were going to continue operations at that time

I am hoping for the business to continue, it was great to send stuff to Tim, one place did it all. Looked on face book and it says permanently closed. I thought I would have heard more, if they were closed. Still hoping

If your bell is McLeod, send it to them.
Tim's stuff was McLeod any.

My bell is a quick time, and I have a combination of ram, and McLeod clutches. It was nice to get the clutch recertified, and not have to have it rebuilt. Hoping for the he best

Maverick if you find a place that will recertify a clutch without rebuilding it if it's not necessary please post it.
I sent a clutch back to Ram that they rebuilt. I had put it in the car, started it up, it sat for 2 years and they said it had to be rebuilt to be recertified.

All this BS wil put you in the poor house.

for Quick Time recerts, check with Ross McCombs (founder of the company). I contacted him at his booth at SEMA and he did mine.

I believe the cost to run a clutch are going to quadruple, since Hyatt racing is not in existence. only if you need the certification.

We had our bell recertified a few weeks after Tim passed away...it took longer than usual but we got it back. We were told at that time they would continue the business. Haven't heard anything about them closing but that was early part of summer

Just got off the phone with holley, and Bell s going to Iowa, and I believe that is where McCombs is at.

Re: Hyatt racing service

In the past I have sent my McLeod bells to McLeod to recert. no problems.
As far as clutches go, my stuff is all McLeod, so,whether I sent it to McLeod or
to Tim (when he did his work) the result was the same, a rebuild.

Re: Hyatt racing service

If they have closed their shop that is very unfortunate, but it was my understanding that Tim's son still had a regular day job. He was working on clutches after his day job.

Glad you found a solution for the recert!

Hopefully. Chris will continue, it gives a option, for some one to get there clutch redone. So basically we have 4 options, ram, McLeod, u and Aaronson? Any other options.?

Rob at Advanced recerted mine last winter without a rebuild. Quick turnaround, and also replaced the studs for me since the threads were getting beat up. FYI, I also sent my QT to McCombs through Holley...no complaints there. I forgot to put the cover back on the window before I sent it, and when I got it back it had a new one on it.

Re: Hyatt racing service

It seems to me that since the NHRA Technical Dept. MANDATES that certain clutches or bell housings must be periodically recertified that they should be able to supply any racer with people or companies that are qualified to do an inspection/repair/modification/certification etc. that will be acceptable per the NHRA rules.

Obviously of course, the original manufacturer would be the most logical choice for a racer to have examine and (re)certify their own product first, that is before you started looking to a secondary source. FED 387

Re: Hyatt racing service

I spoke to Chris Hyatt today. He is going to come on and post. He is almost set up and will be continuing the business. If you have clutch needs, he will be ready to assist shortly.

At the beginning of the year, Chris turned around a complete rebuild over a weekend for me, a customer he never met, after I failed to follow Tim's instruction and hurt my clutch. It was great service, even during a hectic period.
