Grade 4 lives matter
Come on!

Re: Grade 4 lives matter
Should of had 5
|
Re: Grade 4 lives matter
Just tell them to up the quota they have been doing it at other races
|
Re: Grade 4 lives matter
So what you are saying is that Grade 1 lives don't matter.
Hey Mickey, how about you contacting them about raising the payouts, you have a lot of pull. Charlie, can you loan me a couple of Grade points, you got a slew of them. Ron Ortiz U/SA why don't they just charge for Grade points. |
Re: Grade 4 lives matter
Makes you think" I should have entered more points races", doesn't it?
|
Re: Grade 4 lives matter
I just wish NHRA would have told the racers back in January what the quotas would be for each national race so that everyone could have planned ahead...

Daran, just enter your car with pro racer name as owner and you can enter any race, when ever you want to LOL. Tom

Re: Grade 4 lives matter
Thank u Mr Derby City. So every racer wanting to actually run a national event has then known about the numbers since January?! Wow

Re: Grade 4 lives matter
Charlie Bob said he would auction off 1 of his grade points. All proceeds will go to Dee's 'Clutch Guys Matter' campaign.
Auction time will be 8am American time tomorrow. |

All Charley Bob wants is.......Make America Great Again....

Re: Grade 4 lives matter
Ron if NHRA will let me, I will give 2 of my grade points.
You guys need to quit whining about not getting in to Vegas or Pomona. You sound like a bunch of entitled whiny millennial's The quota has been 75 for 10 months now. life is not far and we all can't get a trophy. Buck up get 5 grading points for 2017 and learn from your mistakes. There's a reason C Bob and others have 6-8 grade points per year and its because we like to race and don't like getting locked out of a events we want to run. Sorry guys Bernie Sanders lost a few months ago. Make American Great Again Less Whining, more foot to ***** |
Re: Grade 4 lives matter
How about unlimited entries but only allow the quota to qualify.
LMAO Ron |

Re: Grade 4 lives matter
Charley is 100% correct. The world learned of the adjusted (lower) quotas on December 18, 2015. So everyone knew in 2016 that if they were locked out of certain National Events, to be prepared (meaning, have the required grade points) to gain entry to a national in 2017.

Re: Grade 4 lives matter
'Occasionally' I agree with Charley Bob...year after year Vegas and Pomona are filled up early and yet people fail to plan ahead in order to compete there. If you don't want to travel for Divisionals and Opens I get that but then you need to be satisfied with Combos and Brackets....

Re: Grade 4 lives matter
I will be out west for pomona and vegas
And I have driven 1200 miles for a grade point before. No whining Can't you get 3 grade points at Las Vegas alone Open and 2 points meets Double in Utah . 5 grade points in 4 weekends |
Re: Grade 4 lives matter
It is financial discrimination. One look around the pits and I easily see it. But we enjoy beating the 100K 8 second mustangs soo much we keep coming back :) Can't imagine what it must be like to just pull up to the diesel pump with a unlimited business credit card.
Each grading point is roughly $1000 To get into Pomona it will cost $6000 plus $330 (with special insurance) |

Re: Grade 4 lives matter
The best part is that next year when they lower the quota again it might take 12 grade points to get in.............................
Because having 5 grade points is not a guarantee of entry because it depends or who enters and what the quota is............ I guess that nobody has heard of the "slippery slope"?????????????? I have 2 tracks (Bakersfield & Sacramento) about 150 miles from my house (closest tracks) but NHRA can't seem to reach an agreement to race at their own tracks???????????????? I have been asking about a five year plan for about fifteen years and NHRA won't or can't tell us what the future looks like..... Bob |
Re: Grade 4 lives matter
Guys stk and ss are not for everybody. Your local tracks have bracket 1 and 2 if time and money is the issue.

I race as much as my time and money allow and have the spares that I can afford to try eliminate the broken parts scenario. |

This is nationwide. People are spending $4k to $6k to enter a National Event, for what? A chance at a Wally? A week of being filler for the Pro's? Getting your schedule moved-around as the NHRA sees fit? Gluttons for punishment I guess..... Past champs, no problem, no grade points needed, just enter, I can't blame them if the event is local. |

$1000 per PTS meet, come on that's a little much Daran. I bet if you tried you could cut that number down to $700 easy.
