YB is an outlaw 1/8 mile track in Texas where anything goes ! Reportedly, the car didn't have a full roll cage. The car hit trees and the driver was ejected. RIP

True it is a rough place with a bad history. Lots of fights stabbing and more. A lot of crashes and there have been many people hurt racing there

I usually don't post on these things but that is a special kind of stupid. Racing seat belts and no helmet :rolleyes: I am so thankful for my local tracks now

I am surprided they showed the drivers without helmets and no seat belts and left out the drinking drivers and the betting.

His facebook page has a video of him street racing on the highway not wearing a seatbelt, and the guy he's racing, driving a light blue mustang, has his very young (prob 10 yo ?) son in the passenger seat.

There was a dirt track there on the same property.
It was a little outlaw,too
I can't remember the name of it.
Is it still open?
I'm 66 years old and that place has been there as long as I can remember.
I think It started out as a warehousing facility.
I remember going there when the California street racing was going on made famous by Big Willie.

Many people have died there, including spectators! Stupid people doing stupid things. At least they aren't out on the streets.

That tire wall on the high end would sure be a comfort for me at 140 mph with brakes I haven't checked in two years. I never like to race wearing a helmet when I have my race belts on but I do love to race in flip flops after a few cocktails. Who owns this death trap?

What is with all the people on the starting line at these outlaw tracks and heads up races? If something breaks on a car during the burnout or leaving the line. There is likely to be people hurt. Don't they understand this?

40 years ago that would have been considered a top notch track. I've ran on worse, but not with the spectators that close to the action.
