I vote for.

....because I am the slower car most of the time :D

James, you did a fine job representing Div 6 in this poll. It was entertaining as well as informative. Seems that the Tru-Start system is favorable in D6.

But I must say that I feel totally discriminated against. I was trashed for offering my opinions as well as some friends who are not from D6. We try to be politically correct and abide by rules as much as we can. I feel not welcomed in D6 because of your discriminatory actions. You have crushed my dreams of competing in the far west and now I hopelessly lost all faith in humanity. I now understand all the rhetoric of west coast rules now and feel as though you are creating division among racers from the east coast. I, along with countless competitors (three) from the other regions of the country are now left with an empty sense of appreciation and have all but lost the desire to compete in new environments and venues out west.

Nice job though.

U/SA no place to race.

Wally Parks was a performance minded racer and he was the leader promoting racing in a safe environment. No way would he support a system that takes away the "advantage" of the quicker leaving car. Currently we have a reason to leave last. If that changes only a few big ego's will be running quick, the rest of us will be so so turds.

Congrats to Jim Boyce for doing this poll. The results are about where I expected them to land.

It's too bad the other Divisions didn't do the same thing. That way we could compare figures and see where most of the racers are about Tru-Start.

To Ron Ortiz - - Feel free to make the trip out west, I am sure you would be welcome and have a ball hanging out with guys and gals from out here.

That is awfully kind of you. You SHOULD know that someone out there would have to be responsible for making sure that he takes his meds though.

Ron,

I might have phone numbers for grief counseling, as soon as they get done with the Hillary supporters...........

Take care & take your meds,

Bob

This poll shows us nothing except that there are 40 stk/SS cars in D6 that run slower then 11 flat. And want a second chance to win after they red light.

No, that's not it. And unless you've got a COPO or CJ , you will be the fast car at some time. Like if I ran against Ron. I would leave 2nd.

Re: Tru Start poll results for Div 6

Thanks Garguy49, I know I would have a blast if I came out west. Not sure if some of you west coasters can keep up in the party department though. I have had a lot of experience with them Cajuns, Southerners and Yankees though, that should qualify me quite high.

Billy is somewhat right as far as me being supervised, but it will take more than one to do it properly. As far as meds go, don't I have to go through Colorado to get out west.

Bob, I do not need grief counseling if I take my meds. And I don't know if I want to wait until the Hillary supporters get their counseling, that may never end, maybe eight years from now.

Charlie, You used to race a slower car, that wagon of yours, so you know both ends of this debate. My personal opinion is that I do not want two chances to win. I want as many as I can get plus one.

Dave, Charlie's got one of the slower newer Mustangs.

Now enough of this talk, I need to take my meds.

PS, I just snuck back on to the D6 thread. Bye.

Ron Ortiz
U/SA no one wants an advantage, yeah, right.

The pole shows me people want change. Kind of like the elections we just had. The working man ( insert slower car) has gotten tired of being screwed

Guess all the fast folks live on easy street. It took me almost two years to be able to run the index, yes I know I'm a slow learner.

That is a messed up statement. You just insulted every racer that works like a dog to have/maintain a quick racecar. The real problem is the group of slow guys that want this change free of any workload or effort. CN

So a U stocker running 1.30 under put in no workload or effort. I think you just insulted slower index cars. My statement was based on wanting change and not who works harder.

It looks like you don't have a clue as to what is fast or what is slow......

If an I/SA car runs 11.10 on a 12.30 index.....That's 1.20 under.....

If an A/SA car runs 10.60 on an 11.00 index.......That's .40 under.....

So which one is the slow car and which one is the fast car????

The A/SA car has very little investment in going FAST but the I/SA has spent time and money to go FAST..........

You should try it sometime so you will understand what is fast and what is slow......

Re: Tru Start poll results for Div 6

How about looking at it this way? A little different aspect instead of fast cars versus slow cars.

What if you drove a G/SA that was the national record holder or close, but in eliminations, your opponent is an A/SA which is still dialed quicker than you, but not qualified nearly as high under his index as the G/SA.

The pole only shows 40 racers voted. There are 99% more racers who have not voted and most don't care unless they have a Money or personal agenda

Show me how to start a pole for the other divisions and we can find the other 99% thoughts

Your right. Lately I have to talk myself into keep going forward with stocker build. Running out of excuses as to why.

Hi Charlie! But I DO bracket race every chance that I can. It always made sense to me to build a car that was a legal Stocker that I could bracket race.

Been racing every year since 1974. Had bracket cars, Comp cars, Super Stocker and a Stocker. Made close to 10,000 laps so I think I do understand. Can appreciate a lower letter combo running quick relative to his index but in my book that's not a fast car. Chuck Nagy Comp #190 SS #1390 SST190

Hey Billy....................Not many "classracers" would even say the B word out here. You are probably the only in the NED. Lots of hardcore agendas. Must your "Island" up bringin'.
Happy Holidays to ya !!

Some of you all are missing what is fast.

Going down the drag strip at 150 mph.

Going through Wal-Mart parking lot at 30 mph.

Ohhh Billy goes bracket racing. Like dialing in is a sin for a bracket race. I'll remember that when I dial in against a faster car in Stock Eliminator.

U/SA got in D6 thread again,look out other D's

If you recall the West Coast is where ET bracket driving started. Mostly because plenty of guys could not run on the National Record, which is now known as the dial in. Back then it was known as racing, but now it's known as driving. Why not leave things alone?

It's about how the tree behaves, not a racing style.
