A must read - RV Bandit
 

You need to read this story about this guy ripping people off at the race track. It was talked about on Class Racer a while back when Chris DePascale video this guy as he was go in and out motorhomes. Maybe some of you alrealy new about this guy, but I never dreamed he stole a million dollars over the years. Its a good read, and yes he is still in jail.

Kenny, talk to Denny, his buddy (a Daytona Cop) ,yes he does have a few friends LOL, he did the reseach on this guy, after chris gave him the paper work, yes he still is in Jail and he will be there for a long time.

Slime got his due. ken, one year at the GrandNational in St Pie de Bagot Bob Guertin hired the Hells Angels as security, I don't remember the year but I remember one guy was breaking in the cars,the H.A. Caught the guy and gaved him a severe beating which caused him to spend quite a long stay at the hospital and jail.lol

I learned to keep my motor home and trailer locked up when going to make a run, when at Chicago.

You never know who is watching you when you're busy and your back is turned. That could happen anywhere. This guy needs the filthiest, raunchiest smelling nasty cell mate with no scruples.

Urban legend around these parts is that Roy Hill took care of one good ole boy that was roaming in and out of trailers in Gainesville.....

Justice served I remember 1st time I went to Atlanta was told lock your rig sure enough next 3 years people got robbed. Other tracks been warned Orlando Atlanta ZMaxNC
Chicago. Fayetteville. Sucks now with all the security at Nhra races we should be fine

We were there when the scum bag in question was caught, parked just a little ways further out, and saw them loading him in the ambulance.

The last 4 years that we raced regularly, people we know were robbed at Atlanta, both at the LODRS events and the National Events, every single one of those races.

Etown during the early to mid 1980's had a streak of car thefts happen.

One year something close to 10 cars were stolen there. My friends was stolen from the bar/restaurant close to the track that was a popular place to stop after the race. Broad daylight......suburban, open trailer, tools, spare stuff and racecar gone. Car recovered, and I went to NYC to get it after a lot of work on my friends part to find it. He still has it.....Nothing else recovered

I was so paranoid I chained my car to my open trailer for the overnight while I drove home during a division race. Forgot the chain next day when I went to go to the lanes.....no harm done.

I also closed up my box trailer once I had one anytime I went up to make a run and locked my side door and my pickup.

I sometimes lock my motorhome unless I am parked with friends which is almost always the case....

I have a safe in both my toter and my trailer to keep wallets and phones locked up as well as keys and such. They are pretty cheap at HD or Lowes if you catch them on sale.

That's a great idea! I WILL have one! Even though I have a huge dog who WILL eat you if I'm not around, a safe is a fantastic idea!

Tonka will love on you all day as long as I'm there, just don't try to enter the motorhome when I'm in the lanes!! Jim
