This looks like a nice race, but silly to schedule same date as Nat Open at Cayuga. Duh!

This is part 2 of super stock/ stl nats this man has put on. In no way was meant to be a distraction from Cayuga (DUH) BUT THIS TRACK IS 1/2hour from Norwalk and would be a great event for people coming in for national event

Re: Stk/super stock combo June 17 5000 to win
Everyone knows that scheduling can be problematic. What date did he choose last year for his second race?
|
Re: Stk/super stock combo June 17 5000 to win
he never did any races last year, the promoter is Jack Porter, the trails event earlier this year was his first, we got 55 cars, this race at D42 we are letting in the NSS to help the car count, see what happens and yes there is never a good clean date for races it seems like, Hope we get a good turnout and great weather and good luck to all that goes to either Cayuga event or D2 or event the Midwest event going on this weekend.
btw, D42 sat schedule is, gates open at 9am, tt's at 11 and eliminations at 4 |

It is a good payout to entry. Best of luck to every one that goes to any of the options. |

The bummer is the scheduling, bottom line. I will be at Toronto and Norwalk entered in SS. Oh, I will also get a much needed grade point.

1 The guy that is all about the performance, all they care about is winning class and going fast. These guys probably don’t go to many local combos. 2. The purist that believes in the sanctity of class racing. And likes the restricted rules and competing against like cars. They only go to races/combos that follow the spirit of the class. Where performance matters and heads up races are included. That follow a ladder based on qualifying. Odds are they would go to a national open over this type of race even if they had to drive by this race to get there. 3. The guy that is there for eliminations and doesn’t necessarily worry too much on the performance side. Or purity of the class. They most likely decide where to go based more on the payout. They are probably a great driver and run plenty of bracket races when not racing class. These are the guys that will gladly run this race. And would probably drive by the national open to get to this race. I couldn’t blame them. Great payout for the entry fee. What I don’t get with this race is why they are using RT for pairing and deciding any buy run. They are using the rules for a bracket race not a class race. It looks like Nitro is helping with this race he knows what he is doing as far as setting up ladders and running a class race. If they got the same 55 cars it would be 100 less than what they paired up when he helped at the US class nationals. This would be a piece of cake for him. |
Re: Stk/super stock combo June 17 5000 to win
Becuse with NSS cars in the mix there is no real set indexes for them plus a guy that normally runs let's say H/SA could run a lower class with not running scales it could be 2 seconds under deal so using RT's is much easier. , I do it cause I enjoy doing it
