We just ran our first qualifying run on a beautiful morning here in St. Louis! 61 cars made the run! The decision has already been made to try to get the entire race in on Sat before the rains come. The only people who are getting a run tomorrow before Round 1 are the ones who come in after all is over today.

The original schedule shows parking starting at 7 tomorrow and qualifying at 9. With trying to get all the race in on Sat., I would not be surprised if there is an earlier starting. Saturday ‘s revised schedule has not been posted here yet.

They just announced that we start at 8 am on Sat morning with super street. Everyone in every class gets another run in the morning. Not just those with no runs! Then we continue on to run the entire race tomorrow !!

Well, after spending 2 wonderful days here at Gateway just outside of St. Louis ,Mo,....ITS RAINING.....Super street was filling the lanes and then a small drizzle appeared......

There is one beautiful car here that caught my eye, the ex Dan Cyr car from the left coast. The TOSTO family is running the car in B SA and it is detailed to the max....This young man is meticulous when it comes to his Camaro builds. JOB WELL DONE. ,!!

After the rain delay, we have all lost our runs this morning! The only ones getting a run are the ones who came in overnight. Those will be added to the bottom of the ladder. Then we will begin round 1 with super street.

Well, super street began Elims and then a brief sprinkle has curtailed the racing. The stockers are in the lanes being paired...For those keeping score , Mother Nature 2..... D 3 0.......like Larry said just the early Saturday arrivals received time trials....

We, Lance Line and myself, got to do what we really enjoy, race each other heads up. In preparation of our "it's just a bracket race" : we were chilling ,they were chilling, cars were getting much lighter, air cleaners were abandoned, timing was set in the go fast position, oil flowed freely, and the cars had crew crawling all over them. Ice was at a premium, the concession stand was closed and at the end of the day I had zero ice to make a drink. We used it all for the heads up race. The result was not pretty, he turned the red one on and I got too greedy at the starting line and blew the tires off. But If anyone were to ask Lance or myself on whether we had a good time the answer would be a big "Hell Yes"!!!!!!!!!

And a big thanks to the Country Dog, Cooter, Cuttin Head, and Georgie, for being our crew and for the great food ya'll fixed. We could not have done it without your help

I agree Larry I had a great time also even tho there was no way I could outrun the beautiful and fast hemi car of Jim Nichols it was a blast trying ,doing all you n lance did except I sent a man to the store outside to buy ice , then I as well as lance squeezed the light too much but all in all it was fun !!
