Re: D4 Cajun Classic
Do u get a grade point for attending this race?
|
Re: D4 Cajun Classic
Kenny, it is listed as a National Open on the Div. 4 website, so I would
think it has a grade point. J.R. |
Re: D4 Cajun Classic
Yes, Grade Point, Wally, No HP, full tear down for a record, all the good stuff.
|
Re: D4 Cajun Classic
I think if you enter into the box/nobox race put on by the track, no grade point. If you enter in Trey's NHRA stuff, a grade point will be awarded. Also, not mentioned was the recent passing of Stevie Ray, the track manager. That funeral is this Saturday. I heard Pat was getting the place cleaned up for the open so should be a good time. VALDEZ

Re: D4 Cajun Classic
Any history buffs, Nottaway Plantation is only about 2 or 3 miles further from the track than where you cross the Miss. River. Beautiful place 64 rooms 5 star rest. largest old mansion in the US, rooms; you can sleep in the Master Suite if you want, too much to mention. Regular rooms (2 queens etc), a little over $100. About 12-14 miles from the track. Bring your white linen suite, tie, shoes, socks, have a mint julep on the second floor overlooking the Missississippi, a fine cigar, in a comfortable rocking chair and go back in history. Pull it up on the net.

Jeff, the last time I was there I ran across this neat old sugar cane plantation. I don't know where it is but it is close to the track

Re: D4 Cajun Classic

Re: D4 Cajun Classic
Forecast for weekend is 70's hi and 50's low unless a front comes thru early then it is 60's hi and 40's low and less humidity. Usually you get a rising barometer with a front. Last year it was 30.42

Live reports?
Any 7 second runs or real fast record attempts? Is the track hooking? How many are trying to be the first into the "Sevens" Please put down the adult beverage and post! |
Re: D4 Cajun Classic
Not much to report yet. Only a handful of record attempts. I will try to see who they are. Weather is not great. Temps in the low 80s. I do know Turk went 8.12.
