Need aluminun radiator

Thanks Jerry Davis

Champion radiator has been a popular option among the Mopar crowd. I have one in my Dart Sport and found one that fit my Aspen with a few tweaks. There are few core sizes to choose from but I believe there may be some radiator support differences as well. Jegs and some other independent sources sell them.

I have an extra new, early style from Mancini, but i't not cheap.

I have had good luck with going to Advance Auto Parts and getting a replacement radiator. I have had one in my car since they made them legal. Around a hundred bucks.

I got mine off ebay some years ago. Sorry, don't have info but if you have time you will find a compatible one. Have had mine for 3 years and no problems.

Jegs makes real nice standard dimension pieces. I've had one for 3 years and never a problem.

I just walked in Advance and asked for a replacement radiator for what I have. No big deal. Easy peazie. Drop in, perfect fit in stock support. Easiest part I ever bought for a race car.

Pretty much the same deal for me. I went to a large local auto parts store, and asked for a new radiator for a 1985 5.0 Mustang, and I got a nice light, aluminum radiator with plastic tanks, thats a direct replacement for the old brass rad. It seems like most replacement rads are made that way nowadays.

When I built my Nova I bought a replacement from Advance, noticed it was aluminum so wrote NHRA tech and asked since aluminum was not legal at the time. Answer was to wait, and soon after they made aluminum legal. It fit perfect and was inexpensive.

I have a engineered cooling products radiator in my 68 mustang with a 428 cj and it fits very well and the shroud also fits. they also let me pick it up, and check it out for damage and quality.

Northern Radiator. they make nice radiators, as well as electric cooling fan and shroud kits.

It's about time for me to buy one for my e-body stocker project. what side of the radiator are you putting the fan ? I'm in the process of doing a trial fit with everything so I can measure how much room I've got.

Merry Christmas everyone

Advance Auto is giving 25% off on radiators right now. An aluminum one for my Firebird is an exact fit for $184.00 before the discount. Merry Christmas.

Brian you should be thinking how do I get my car to 50 / 50. Any weight that far forward will have an adverse effect on balance. My fan is on the engine side of the radiator.

Good luck with your E body project and we hope to see it in 2018 at the races.

I hadn't been thinking in those terms, thanks Larry.
