Mistake or truth?
 

Just got my new issue of National Dragster with "Heroic Herbert" on the cover. I noticed that in the Jegs All Star page 153 for Division 6 that has the name Jody Lang for the picture, but the picture is a Waldo Racing car. Is this true.

I would think it must be a screwup on NDs part, but stranger things have happened. Jody would probably be killer in a stick car to.

That issue is also over two weeks old around here, your mailman must be taking it home to read before he delivers it to you........:confused:

I am glad the subject of ND was brought up. My mailman has been late with mine several times! I knew he must have been reading mine as well. After a few well thought questions to him I found out where he lives. Now when my ND is not on time I just go over to his house and spend some time with his wife.

I would say misprint...or mis picture...But I dont think he would step into a stick car...And I can see how Goob Cook wouldnt care...Hes got a hood scoop, He just got on the wrong forum! Goob, Go to the .90 forum and talk to those people about dumb topics!

Hell, I can't get past all the dumb topics in here......that is a long way down the list.

I just liked getting the "Round Mouth of the South" wound up anyway...

The "hood scoop" is just a serious flaw in the paint work.......;)

P.S.....Goob,dont your car run mid 10's? If I remember right you dont even run an aftermarket electric fuel pump. Just a stock mounted GM pump.....right????

Mr Cook, I thought that it might have been a misprint or mis picture, but the object of the post was to find out which one or if in fact that Jody Lang is driving for Waldo Racing. I am not sure, but didn't the Lang's and Waldo's have some issues with each other some time ago? If they had, this misprint/mis picture is priceless.
I do not know who you are referring to about the "Round Mouth of The South" Was it in humor or do you have a problem with someone.

The only reason to be involved in drag racing in any form is the people you get to associate with, the rest of it, when looked at closely, would qualify anyone for insanity. :D

Yeah Mike, I can't bring myself to install an electric fuel pump on anything.....the ol' car did run high 10's with untouched 186 casting heads and a hydraulic flat tappet cam, then I messed up and found some of them there "aluminium" heads and a solid flat tappet cam, whoooo-eeeeeeee.
Just don't check me for compression........:rolleyes:

Still doing it on stock suspension, 9" tires, and some Atlas shocks I found in an abandoned Standard gas station back room......... one tenth quicker and I'll be in trouble in the tech lane again.;)

That hood scoop thing bothers me too, but somewhere along the line, the carb got too close to the hood, so rather than lower the carb, or raise the hood, I cut a hole in it.......

I lack the energy and $$ for class racing Mike.......it was always out of my reach financially, poor people have poor ways, (bracket race) now even if the bank was full, I'm out of the energy.
25 years in general repair burnt me out, I have parts that need put on my car that have been laying around for over 10 years now.......if my hands never touched a wrench again, I wouldn't miss it.

Now, if there were a class for cars built with dumpster pickings, I think I could compete.;)

To give you a clue, the Hurst Line Loc on my car came out of the box brand new when I installed it, manufactured Nov. 1965, in my inventory waiting for a car since 1967 or so. :eek:

If I started on a new project now, my grandson would have to finish it.:D
