Any New Factory Stock Cars Being Built?
 

Is anyone aware of any new Factory Stock Shootout cars being built? If so does anyone have photos of the new cars?


I've heard Don Fezzel and Chris Holbrook are building new cars. Anyone else? Brand doesn't matter...

We've just got our 2017 COPO set up to run in FS/AA for this season, we'll see what direction we decide to go come fall, definitely going to be upping to a 7.5 second cage over the winter and see what else if we wanna go that route.

Index in FS/AA is 9.40. At 8.49 you will need the 7.50 SFI cage. Just going to go slow this summer?

Same car 2017 Copo but I can't wait . I ran 8.49 this weekend at the pacific open and I am having PMR do the 7.50 Cert cage right after the points meet in LV I am hoping nhra expands the factory showdown to the west coast for next season. Besides the rule running 160-170 MPH on a 9 inch tire the funny car cage gives a bit more confidence that I will be around to see the showdown class expand next season.

Jody, at the Dutch Classic last October; I was told by a very reliable source, that Don's new car was at JDM Engineering being prepped to go testing in preparation for the 2018 season. He was entered for Gainesville as a 2008 Cobra Jet, which really doesn't mean anything, and he withdrew just before the deadline. That's all I know at this time.

Jason Dietsch just had his new CJ built by Watson Racing.

Roy Hill has a “16 engine” combination built by Kaase.

Lot of upgrades to a lot of cars with some switching back and forth on engine builders.

Not sure what Bo Butner is building this week.... was putting together a new car also lol

Basically going to run on a 8.5x or 8.60 dial and hope for no heads up races. Didn't have the time to get the 7.5 cage in this winter and still want to run it this year so that's the plan for now., Probably not even gonna do any nationals. We're just getting back into racing with this car and dont have any grade points anyway so were probably just going to do a bunch of divisionals in the northeast. We're already considering getting a car for superstock over the winter also, not sure what yet, we have a couple ideas for cars we'd like to build, also we have a friend nearby selling 2 superstock 396 '69 Camaros, or if we could get back my father's old highschool car that he built into a superstocker back in the day that he and my grandfather raced for a couple decades(it's still being raced in superstock but when I last spoke to the current owner about 5 years ago he wasn't interested in selling then)
