"Live From" LODRS Maple Grove Raceway
 

Hello everyone, I know its only Wednesday, but at D1 races we can park on Wednesday. The weather is great today after 5 days of rain. There are some soft spots here, but for the most part the parking is good.

I did find a few cars out, and there are already a 100 plus rigs here. I think we are going to have a big turnout, even with JEGS Sportsnationals going on.

Test and Tune tomorrow from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. along with tech. Don't forget this race will be live streamed. Here is the link to the channel, just click on the video that says live.

Unfortunate situation for TAD Team the McPhillips, sounds like their Toterhome burnt to the ground last night on the way to the track. Something you never want to hear about, Rich Jr. posted photos on his FB site and said everyone got out ok...thank goodness.

I was told that he was able to disconnect from the trailer, and everyone one is okay.

Test and Tune is under way with bright sun shine and temps in the mid 70's, with a light breeze, a good day for testing. The pits are starting to fill up and looks like we will have large car count.

Here are a few shots I got this morning. I'm not testing today, so I hope to get lots of photos, and maybe some in car camera videos.

Good morning folks, its another nice day today, with bright sunshine. Temps will be in the mid 80's today. It also looks like will will be starting on time at 8:30. I did not get a chance to do an in car camera, but I did get Denny Ford rowing the gears in his 62 409.

We are through one round of the rotation for qualifying and times shots. Alcohol is running now and Stock has been called to the lanes for there second qualifier. Temp is 88, and the DA is around 3200ft. Its warm but pleasant here, with a nice breeze.

Warm but beautifull chamber of commerce weather , 6 pm currently and SS Q2 is finishing up, I believe there will be clean up runs later

Good morning all, its going to be another warm one. We may get showers late this afternoon, but we should get in most of today's schedule racing. Stock is out first, starting at 8:30 for there final qualifying run.

Stock, Super Stock, Super Gas and Super Comp are done for the day. We all got our first round in. They are finishing up with Comp and Alcohol and ending with jet cars and fireworks.

I'm not sure how many of you know, but Bill Bader Jr. has been brought on board, and you can see the improvements. All track personnel are decked out in their cool looking Maple Grove Raceway attire. Even with with temps above 90 and with a DA of 3900ft, the track was in great shape. We had over 500 entries and you could not ask for a better race to attend. Great job to the NHRA staff and the Maple Grove staff, this has to be one of my favorite tracks to be racing at.

Weather for tomorrow is a little iffy, but you never know. we also have Monday if we can't finish it tomorrow.
