We are here and parked! Thanks Nitro Joe for the great parking spot!! We arrived in time to get parked and all set up before it got dark. The place is really filling up for a Wed! The weather looks fairly decent until Sunday. But the weather always changes and it seems this race always has at least a little bit of rain! Tomorrow is just Tech day and we begin running on Friday. Sat is Class day for Stock and Super Stock!

Lots of rigs have been moving in all day. It does seem to be maybe a lighter turnout than normal for here. People may have been scared off by the forecast. I have taken pictures today that I will post a little later.

Parking began on Wednesday a little before 10 am which was some two hours EARLIER than advertised. Don Kennedy took the pole position. A tip of the cap to D 3 Person of the Year Nitro Joe for parking all the rigs. Unlike last year , the asphalt parking was first come first served so even us entry level Stockers could pull up a piece of asphalt. Thank you to Nitro and D 3 division director. Much appreciated. Thankfully our very own Miss Patsy is here and we all look forward to her reports.....

Tech and chassis certification is fast and going very smooth. We have plenty of gray shirts to get the tech job done here at Bowling Green. Lots of familiar faces and a few new ones from all over the U.S.A.

I just posted round 2 qualifying of stock on my Facebook page.117 stockers. Money hungry NHRA wanted $2 for round 2 qualifying so I told them I would just take a picture!

I was told that the 1960 Chevy station wagon with the 283 was the fastest qualifier in stock. If this is the blue car with a flame paint job, then I got a photo.

I am here to cover the SS/AH cars for "Hemi Shoot Out". As time may permit, I try to get some pix of the stockers and super stockers and post them on Classracer.

Well for all of you who didn’t come because of the forecast— it has been a beautiful day here! Stock and super stock got in class, everybody else got in Shootouts! Congrats to Rusty and Theresa Cook for winning super gas and super comp both!! Super street, gas, and comp all ran their first round of eliminations this evening also! We begin in the morning at 8 with stock then super stock then stock then super stock again!!

It was a LARGE time and congratulations to Jim Pancake and his BC motor on a stellar performance during AH class. With his new program at Indy, look out....Thanks to the 8 cars that showed up and Rich Loker with his new car and high qualifier semi finish. Some of us will lick some wounds and get ready for Indy.
