Live from Maple Grove Raceway
Well were here, this will be the first time out since breaking an axle at VMP. Were going to run the TnT today still trying to get a handle on this combo. I've replace all the electronics and hope this gets it straight. The TnT runs 11:00 to 5:00 today leaving plenty of time to make it to the Shady Maple yum yum. The weather today looks great getting down to the mid 50s last night. Parking is ok just stay out of the middle of the lower field. One other thing Diesel fuel is $3.79 in PA ouch. More later.

If Diesel stays at that price for long I've got a sneaky feeling there will be a fire sale on a lot of DP motor-homes. It's not that bad in the south (yet) $2.89 locally and $3.09 on the road. Caterpillar says that the only true way to improve the fuel economy in my MH is to slow way down. At those prices I'll be the guy holding up traffic going 55. Hopefully prices will settle down soon. |

Marty & Ray thanks, no Powerglide yet but working on it I've got a case and a bunch of parts hopefully but the end of the season. Well my time runs have at least gone how I hoped. Started really fast and after 2 corrections went a 10.902. Hope to start out good tomorrow. The diesel fuel prices are bad at home also 2.99. I've paid $4+ a few years ago. That sux

Ken & Rob thanks for the help on the thread. If anyone has something to contribute please do. Todays schedule, tech opens at 8-4 time runs 8:30-4:30. Yesterday you couldn't of asked for a more beautiful day and the race track worked well all day. I liked calling the cars by class it made for less time in the lanes. It should be another beautiful day I post photos later.

Well yesterdays time trials went pretty smoothly I wasn't good enough to make it into the top 8 but my time runs where Ok running a best of 10.92. Congrats to Keith Mayer's on his top 8 S/St win. Todays schedule is 1 time run starting at 8:30 and go in to 1 round of eliminations at 1:30. Here's some photos from the weekend.

Thanks Termite and I will. Well the weather is so slow up here I changed oil filters and cut open the old one all is good. Its just bad and I'm lost. 1st round scheduled for around 1:30 We'll see. More later

We're waking up to an overcast sky this morning and it looks like it rained some last night. The radar is showing some rain in the area but there's a clear area coming. Maybe we'll be able to get a couple rounds in before it rains again later. The fire works show was awesome last night thanks Maple Grove.

Well we've had another disappointing race. Late and slow equals a 2nd round lose. I've made the decision to stop the travel racing until I get me and the car sorted out. The plan is to get the engine on a dino (it seems to be running fine) and find out where its making power and what it may likes. Then the C-4s out and I'm going with a powerglide on top of some suspension changes. So hopefully with the changes and lots of testing we can make the winter races. So this will be the last live report until I can get things straightened out. Good luck to everyone on there race season.

Robbie.....I suggest Jim Morgans dyno right off #301 near where you turn off #301 to head towards MIR unless you have made other arrangements. Sorry to hear about your run of bad luck. I keep an eye on you guys even though I'm in Fla. Good Luck.
