Without giving you a dollar amount, I believe it was enough to get there. It was calculated on some sort of mile per gallon and how many miles you were from there. either way, every little penny helps and I applaud Jegs for that extra special bonus. By the way, winners and runners up also get contingency money

Well it must have changed then there has never been contingencie money for allstars and the tow money is about 1/4 of what it really cost last time I checked nobody tows with a Geo and the tow money hasn't changed in 20 years, been there done that

There was contingency money last year, and I think the year before at least, too.

I'm pretty sure the tow money depends on the miles from your address to the track, the percentage of miles you traveled of the miles everyone traveled combined is the percentage of the total tow money you get. Being pretty close, I think I got like $100 last year. It's a nice extra perk even if it's not too much!

Greg is correct. It isn't much but everything helps. I got 172.22 last year. In 2016 I got 223.92. We had more competitors from D5 last year so that's why it was less. But the team win way off set that. ;)

Way back in 2000 & 2001 we got tow money not quite enough to get there, Columbus & Chicago, had to laugh as I thought maybe they want us to stay, since we have to tow home? Still a nice perk

Question?, at Columbus we ran 3 runs and then tore down, at Chicago we could bring a head off the day before for inspection....what’s the current procedure, just curious

I got enough for a tank of diesel . ….Maybe a little more ,fuel is 30 cents a gallon cheaper out here than in PA.
