Not all of the tech cards have been turned in yet. A driver changes vehicles from one event to another but the NHRA system still has the driver's previous entry still in the computer |

Ghezzi is who ran 10.529 his number is 3548. Instead they inputted 3549 which is Garza.

Re: Rene Garza ss/pa #1 Jegs Nationals Route 66
I also see in the Live Timing data on NHRA.com that Gary Stinnett was double-entered in Super Comp and lost both entries in Round 1.

Re: Rene Garza SS/PA #1 Jegs Nationals Route 66
Doggone it.
I mistakenly attributed the performance gain of the shoebox to titanium valves. In all reality, it would have been nice to see 3549 at the top of the list. |
Re: Nitrous Street cars at Rt 66 Nationals
I'm still trying to figure out why NHRA had some nitrous street cars running exhibition runs this last weekend at the the Rt 66 Nationals. They ran them down the track with no times given, while they promoted a gamblers race race next weekend at a non NHRA track.About as entertaining as watching paint dry.Was waiting for one to oil the track,or smack the wall, but most never made a run under full power. What a waste of time ,and pit space.

Yep, the guy announcing it seemed to be schilling for his own event. I'm sure they put effort into their racing though I don't think this was the crowd for it. Crowd response seemed worse than advertising a Wishone Ash reunion at an Opera event. I'm sure next year will be different, and maybe different dates? The crowds seemed very, very light even with blue sky and no real chance of rain. |

The jets were just the last 5 minutes of the day, anyone could have left if they wanted, and were actually pretty good entertainment. She was very interested in the Stk/SS racing both Heads Up and Handicap. It was the "No TIme Shootout" guys that you had to sit thru twice and listen to the guest announcer shill his upcoming event that had everyone bewildered as to why they were there. |
