Re: Nice double DUCKBOY

Thank y'all! It was a truly unbelievable weekend.

We were just going to camp out over the weekend to save some dollars (plus we had the dogs with us). It was pouring Friday night, so I didn't want to have to set up the tent in the rain & in the dark, so we decided to just get up stupid early on Saturday to make the 5 hour trip. Ended up working til 9:30 Fri night anyway. So, we got up at 3am Sat., packed up and hit the road. The final round Sat. night was right around 2:30 am, and after doing contingency and winner's circle photos, we got to bed about 3:30. New race: "The 24 Hours of Carolina". I was junk on the tree most of the weekend. The brain was out to lunch by 2nd round on Saturday... guess I need to quit thinking and let the body do the driving. Got the lucky ones when I needed them. I'd been having trouble driving the stripe against faster cars all year, but this weekend turned out really well. That made up for all the .040 lights!

That place has been *really* good to me!

Got home at 11 last night. I'm whooped. It was worth it! :D

Great Job Mike. Can't wait to see how this shakes up the points. How warm was it in Jackson at 2:30AM? It was 42 degrees at Norwalk Saturday night(Sunday Morning) at 1:30 AM. Another tired overdue footbraker did well their.

Again, good job.

It might have gotten below 80 deg by that time. ;) I stopped checking by 10pm.

Didja win? Cool, congrats! Heard Terry was doing really well this weekend, but I haven't caught up with him to find out how he made out in Sunday's race yet.

Great job at Jackson. I am dragging today and I'm sure everyone who was there is just as tired. See you at Budds Creek

Re: Nice double DUCKBOY

Mike,
Yeah, actually I did. 6 rounds, nothing special driving except the car was great. It went between a 10.488 and 10.514 in the 6 passes over the two days that I ran flat out. I hope it works that good this weekend at Milan!
I am not sure how Terry ended up. I lost 1st round on Sunday (.004 and .011 over gets trumped by a .002 and .003 over!!!), and after that, I just went home. I know that IHRA stocker Bob Shieff did very well, and John Dinkel went some rounds as well.

80 degrees, wow-now I know why you got out of Northern Ohio!

Good luck on your points chase.

Jeff Day
