"Live From" Cecil County Dragway LODRS
 

Hello everyone,

Its hot and its humid here, and will be this way for the this weeks race. Today we have a test and tune from 2pm to 8pm. I'm not racing this weekend, I was ask to help with the live streaming. This is not a schedule race for me, but I was glad I could help out.

I wont be able do much as far as photos, but I should be able to get the qualifying up fairly quick along with my reports. A few photos from today's testing.

Good evening everyone, I'm here this weekend to and will do my best to get some reporting in. I believe the internet connection is a little better here than it was at Atco a couple weeks ago. I got here a little later than planned due to a busted radiator hose on the way up. Luckily it split close to the clamp so I was able to cut the hose off and put it right back on. It wouldn't be a trip up North for me if something didn't go wrong!

Racing should start at 9am with Stock. James, glad to see you made it. Tim, great photos and thanks. It will be another hot and humid day. We are looking at over 400 plus cars, so it will be a long day of racing. Here is the link for the live stream.

Thanks James for the Q sheet. We are moving along fast. Stock is done with Q2 as is Super Street. Alcohol is in the lanes now. Super Comp and Super Stock will follow with there 2nd qualifier. We should have clean ups later today.

They are running Alcohol now, but SS, Stk, SC, SG, SST are done for the day except clean ups. We have top 8's coming up soon. We had a total of 365 cars here today, pretty good turnout considering its so hot and humid.

Wow! 69 SS cars?

That was a famous race track, covered in national Dragster & magazines, back in the Jr Stock days when I started! So great it is still going.

Well we had alot of fun today even despite the heat and man it was hot. We got our 2 qualifying runs in and I made to the finals of the Top 8 Shootout race before loosing to Lenny Williams. Tomorrow we get Q3 in the morning then Round 1 to follow. I didn't really take any pictures to share other than my little girl Piper trying her hand at announcing with the boss Ken looking on.

With all the gloom and Doom stories about stock and super stock I am looking through the pits and see a little brighter view. In our row is my Son Bryan, Shane Oaks, Bubba Linke, Lincoln Morehead,James Germanski, Michael Iacono and numerous other second generation racers who have become successful business owners and are carrying on the tradition on their own.

Good morning all, its cloudy and humid. It rained overnight and they are calling for some showers this morning. It should clear up later today, but it will be a late start to get the track dry and ready to race. I will be back with an update as soon as get more info.

I'm surrounded by all these young guns Lee and they stay up way too late for me! As Ken said we had a couple showers last night but they are scraping and drying the track as I type so hopefully we can get going soon. Lots of pit racing going on right now.
