Happy Birthday to Pete Kost.
 

Pete turns 85 today and is still going strong. I'm not sure how he does it, but I would like to know his secret. I know a small part of it - Crown Royal and Chocolate. Not taken together - I assume. Happy Birthday PETE KOST.

One of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. Happy Birthday Pete!!!

For some that may not know, Pete ran Pro Stock back in the day when Pro Stock raced at Divisionals.

Maybe Dino could come on here and share some stories about his Pops with us?

Pete is very special to me and we have a friendship with each other like family.

One of the many things that I miss since I moved away from Washington State are the chats about the old days of racing.

I looked Pete up on-line for another thread here and he drove for the Smothers Brothers at one time. When I was the "photographer" at Milan I used to develop my film at a friends house and watch that show after dinner. 1966.

No I don't. It's several years old. The Methods are all over the place. Drive for others and have others in their cars. Great people. I had a pit next to them at a Lucas Oil race.

I know that Cal has a 2nd identical looking Nova that they have been running in S/S this year, with Todd Haste (sp?) driving, but I don`t know if that is his number.

I checked the metadata on the photo and it's from the 2016 NWN. Cal and Mark Faul both drove H/SA cars in that event. The driver of car 621 wore a sportsman style open helmet and the driver of 6021 wore one of the modified style helmets with a solid chin guard.

I was the driver of 6021 in 2016. Cal generously offered the use of their second car after I blew mine up a couple weeks prior.
