Re: Reply Screening??????
Bob,
Why would you ask members about your post being moderated. I would think an email to me would give you your answer. When you go to a doctor, do you ask the people in the waiting room how to help you, or the doctor? Sometimes I just do get how people think. All posts in the classifieds are monitor to help stop spamming and protect members when posting. Only people interested in buying should respond. If you read the rules in the classified section you would have known this, and this issue would have not come up. Ken |
Re: Reply Screening??????
I applaud the rules Ken, when you see some of the responses on FB and other forums when people merely are posting a classified it makes you scringe. I try to see classifieds as someone seeking a “win-win” for both buyer and seller, others see it as an opportunity to throw rocks. If Bob engages in much social media I can also understand his confusion.

Re: Reply Screening??????
Well Ken,
You actually could have taken the high road and sent me a PM... I have been a member for many years and have posted in the past. I have never in the past have had a post or reply examined for content.. Thanks for your response, but why now?? |

Re: Reply Screening??????
To submit another opinion, it seemed like a perfectly reasonable question to ask of forum member’s.
We, subsequently, asked it amongst ourselves. “Sometimes I just do get how people think.” A position such as this would certainly seem to indicate presumption. It also strikes me that a private reply to the question posed would have been prudent rather than posting the entire response on the forum. |

James,
I have a little time today, and I'm a little bored. Lets take on some of what was said to my reply. Quote:

Take the high road? You are the one who choose to make this public. I just pointed out the logical thing to do when you have an issue with the forum. You took it personal, and its not. The rules for classifieds have been posted for many years. I do appreciate your support on Class Racer and I see you have been a member for many years, but it is a two way street. When you become a member you have an obligation to read the rules and follow them. If you have questions about the forum, feel free to contact me anytime. As for why now, I explained that in my above reply. Its only in the classifieds section to help make it fair for all. Quote:

I like the fact that this was made public. It allows everyone to gather more info about the processes. Being public may help someone else wondering about the same subject. Thanks Ken. I have often wondered about these things too. I've seen people ask about where do I get a contingency decal for a product? Why not send that company an email and request one?????????
