Re: Anyone live from the Texas Motorplex Double?
My round 2 bracket showed #1 in stock was DQ on a bye run. Don't know why but I am guessing loose weight

Re: Anyone live from the Texas Motorplex Double?
I was the one that got DQ’d on a bye run. I had bought some Sunoco Supreme at Grand Prix auto in Tulsa I had it tested before I put it in the tank and it was “right in the middlei”. Bought some Supreme at the track (
The vendor by the gate) and had it tested, it too was right in the middle. When I mixed, the two together it was way off. Both fuels were Sunoco Supreme and both passed check before they were mixed. |

Re: Anyone live from the Texas Motorplex Double?
I lost a round with Sunoco I bought at the track that day. No mixing. At one time we could not buy VP at the races. Decided to just use Sunoco. Made less power than VP, but was safer than hauling a lot of fuel from home. After Sunoco not passing Fuel Check between rounds during eliminations, twice, I quit using it. Started hauling VP fuel in my trailer.
I did not race in 2018. Was looking after Jeanie. Can we buy VP at Div 4 races now? |
Re: Anyone live from the Texas Motorplex Double?
Ed, no vp for sale at D4 races. Like you, I haul vp in the trailer. It's a lot of gas to tote around, especially if you're optimistic about going rounds at a double.

Re: Anyone live from the Texas Motorplex Double?
For folks wondering about the status of race 2 at Ennis:
Super Stock completed a qualifying session this morning, and a few Super Street pairs went down the track before the rain began. Heavy rain ensued, and remainder of race 2 day 1 was cancelled. Race 2 eliminations are scheduled to start at 8 a.m. Sunday morning CDT with Stock out of the gate first. There were no qualifying passes in Stock, so the ladder will be filled with random pairings and no heads up runs. |
Re: Anyone live from the Texas Motorplex Double?
I did not get to race at all in 2018. Was really looking forward to this one.
Close as I've come is with my Practice Tree. Been deadly there. LOL |
Re: Anyone live from the Texas Motorplex Double?
Rick and Chase Huffman (Accelerated Graphics) are Renegade fuel dealers. If you call ahead they can bring it to the track. We've been using the R11 with good results.

Re: Anyone live from the Texas Motorplex Double?
Weather channel says it is raining, what is the plan ?
|
Re: Anyone live from the Texas Motorplex Double?
Lookslike they are spraying the track and just uncovered the tree on Drag Racer TV
|
Re: Anyone live from the Texas Motorplex Double?
Stock, Super Street, and Sportsman Motorcycle completed first round of eliminations. A light rain set in, and it just would not stop. The race is set to be completed tomorrow, Monday. Super Stock is scheduled out first at 9 a.m. CDT.

Warren is a good announcer as well. He was on the PA quite a bit on Monday. I am afraid I got very little done on Monday watching the race. |
Re: Anyone live from the Texas Motorplex Double?
Great job Warren! We raced during the day went home and watched it at night!

Re: Anyone live from the Texas Motorplex Double?
In addition to top qualifying tear downs , at least 4 participants were DQ for improper / loose ballast. A shout out to D 4 for enforcing the rules,....just like the old days....I know some don’t think about this but if your car would roll or flip all the loose ballast becomes projectiles .....
|
Re: Anyone live from the Texas Motorplex Double?
Hard to imagine anybody using loose ballast.
