Indy Entries in Stock and Super Stock
 

Tomorrow, Wednesday July 31, Indy goes to Grade 2. As of right now, Stock has 144 entries and Super Stock has 120. In all probability, Stock will be full tomorrow and Super Stock won't be far behind. NHRA has increased the quotas in the past, hopefully they will increase them again.

Bill that would be nice but I don't see that happening anymore even though they have in the past. Time will tell but I would hate to see anyone shut out of Indy that truly wants to go.

With the addition of Top Dragster and Top Sportsman; I doubt it myself, but as you said, time will tell.

Well Stock didn't make it to grade 2 as it filled up tonight. That was a little bit of a surprise.

wow never made it to a 2. I know I should race more but I have other responsibilities . I was looking to go with my grandsons. Last year they had 171 cars in stock. So I guess it makes sense to let fewer in. If anyone decides not to go I would appreciate a call Thanks Gary Parker 413 519 6354

Don't forget about the world champs and the top ten who can get in any time until closing time Monday.

Now the real question, of the cars entered what 35 to 40 are you faster than?

Larry. I can go well under a second at indy. Was number 60 last year and have picked the car up since then. I hope those who get in by being a champ wait until the end to give other a chance. with 171 entered last year that means I was faster than 111.

I’m with Gary, I too had only 2 points this year ,lots going on .If anyone would happen to not go please call 636-two six two-667one. Why only the 160 ? The place is huge does anyone know? ,Looks to me stock is the most popular class out there right now . Maybe I’ll sign up for pro stock it only has 14 then at least I can go lol

It all depends if NHRA see's the $$$. With Only 51 cars entered in Super Gas and Super Comp there will be plenty of extra pit space for more Stock and Super Stock entries. If Enough people call NHRA about it and they Think they will get more Money by opening up more spots, I'd bet they will.

It's Typical NHRA Logic. They added 80 TD and TS spots so we need to take away 80 spots somewhere else. Instead of looking at previous years where car count's were seriously down in SG and SC they just took spots away across the board. Hopefully they will see that only 51 cars have entered in Both SG and SC and will open up some Stock and SS spots.

Knowing how stupid NHRA is lately they probably want snowmobiles to fill the pits !

There will be some withdrawals after Bowling Green, only unknown is how many ex-champs and top tens enter like Larry said which may take the number of entries close to 170. Grim reality will set in if they can’t run 80 under in Super Stock and 90 under in Stock and conditions at BG usually make that obvious to some (me included).

EXACTLY! We have all known it was 160 since the season started... you wanna run The Go... then load your stuff up 4-5 times the other 51 weeks out of the year and Go to the track.
