You guys got me totally confused now. I was bringing a couple show cars to Houston, now I guess I gotta bring a race car. Maybe a bigger trailer.

Jeff I hope you guys will bring the race cars and everybody you know from up in Cajun land.

Larry, I'll get with you to see if we can hook up for this deal.

Also wanted to let everybody know, this SS/Stock combo will run off of a ladder and same class runs will NOT be heads up, no break out.
I'm not doing fuel check and ect.

Wanted to make sure that you all know
ALL IHRA & NHRA class cars welcome !!!!!

If its a regular NHRA class you will run off of the NHRA index during qualifying.
LiKe in the case of SS/AM, its a different index between IHRA & NHRA.

We hope we can get around 25 cars for sure.
Remember, NHRA chassis guy will be there Sat to do chassis cert's.

Nitro Joe I will be there with my E/SA duster, hope we get a full field. Trying to get Austin Ford and a few other local stockers to come out. Looks to be good fun, we go every year with our show and bracket cars so will be nice to have a class race, see ya soon.

P.S. if the weather is good, like it has been down here lately, were going to drop the oil, ice it down and let her EAT! Hoping to go some low 10.40s at E/SA weight!

My Mother is doing ok, she will go back in for another operation the week after my Houston race.

Stan Holt (SS & Stock Racer) owns a great restaurant called Lupe Tortilla and has put up some great money deals for the event.

$200 - Dead-on with a 5.0

$100 - If you can beat Stan Holt 1st round

Sounds like fun can't wait Stan Holt is a great guy, he bused about 100 racers at the houston national event this year to one of his resturants in houston to eat and drink all on him. It was a great time especially because everyone's rigs were sunk in the rice field at that time, so kinda got everyone's mind off that for a while. Anyway this should help bring some more racers down, JUST ONE MORE WEEK!!!!!

We are trying to decide what to bring, and who will drive what. I got 2 T/STK IHRA cars that will probably go, and a couple of show cars too. Maybe my Big Orange Car too. One of us got to take out Brannon the first round. I might have a few for side bets too. Too early right now.

I'm hearing there a few bracket cars (Mopars) that might be going. You know those weekly guys that are worse than Biondo or Fletcher. Did yall know there is an early morning weekend talk show (call in) that is headed by Danny Fletcher.

After 5pm there Friday night Street racing is going on and you will have to pay the admission fee to get in. Hopefully we wont have that many problems with this.

Charlie, I'm sure I can find something for someone who takes out a Shelby. I can probably find something for taking out Brannon. Nitro, do you know what the fee is to go Friday night. I don't think we will make it for 5, but are coming Friday. Hell, I might just want to race Friday night too.

I think its $10 for spectators and $15 to run.
But I think I canget you guys in after 5 if I'm still in the park. I dont know what PR appereances i have scheduled that night. lol

Great, Ed, I'm going to get on the bird first thing in the morning and be there on the ground around 2pm, I'm going over to the SAM school as soon as i land and so a deal there and give the guys going to school there free tickets for the whole event.
Hope to see a good amount of SS/Stock racers there.

Jeff, it is 10.00 to watch or 15.00 to race on Friday night and if you get there early you can make 4-5 runs easy.

If you go use lane 10 (the left lane against the fence) and you can bypass all of the street car guys so the wait in the staging lanes is less.

Did you guys get any more shirts made up my last Cajun Flyer shirt is about worn out.

Nothing better than a SS car with the wheels 3 feet in the air.

Sat we had 36 cars show up, everything is posted on drag race central thanks to Larry Sullivan. I'll talk about the event when its over on Sunday but so far weather is great and thanks to everybody that showed up to support it.

Final car count was 40, including a few first-round no-shows. Jimmy Hutto finally noticed that the announcer had been mangling his name all weekend, got it straightened out just in time to win over Austin Ford in a double-breakout final round. Actually, the announcer was just doing the best he could with Hutto's handwriting on his tech card - sure hope the check makes it to the correct address.
