Dan Fletcher?

Is Dan skipping the west coast this year? I don't see him entered at the Winternationals or Arizona.

Sounded like he may be involved in moving his operations to NC...there was a thread that I started based on his interview for Competition Plus. See link...

Perhaps because he is a past champion... He can enter late or when he chooses

I saw one of Dan's posts on Face book over the christmas holiday he was repairing his snow plow so I think he is still in NY.

Re: Dan Fletcher?

Sorry to report I'm still in NY, lol. The NC move will be occurring in the next 12-18 months, quite a project ahead of us and a lot of stuff going on getting all the cars ready in new sponsor colors.

I'll be at Pomona with the new look Strutmaster Super Stock and Super Comp cars, just haven't entered yet. I thought in another thread people were chastising provisional guys for entering before the last minute, lol. I expect a courtesy reminder on February first...

Shaun it can get clod here but for the most part you're looking at average highs in the winter in the fifties here along the coast. The last couple weeks we've been enjoying 70 degree days but next week we are looking at low 20's at night so we will be freezing!

Thank You James. The older we get the older these cold winters get. We’ve been kicking the idea around of heading south but thought Florida is a bit too hot.Thank You Buddy

Dan it's Feb 1st time to use your world champ provisional. Good Luck

Re: Dan Fletcher?

Well Larry, its a funny thing...

In an effort to be respectful to my peers and not have people say mean things on the inner webs, it appears as though I've created a problem for myself. I tried to enter earlier this morning and the system won't let me, stating "event over quota". As discussed here, I have provisional status, but the system isn't recognizing that. Obviously, Glendora is closed till Monday, and I'll be flying most all that day. If I can't have someone get ahold of someone during the weekend, I'll be reduced to trying to handle this on a one hour layover in Baltimore. And after my Denver debacle of a few years ago, we all know if you aren't entered by 4pm est on Monday, you aren't entering.

I guess when you're entering electronically, waiting till the last minute and relying on the system to not have a glich isn't the best idea. Moral of the story, worry about yourself...

Re: Dan Fletcher?

If they(provisional entry's) is kind enough to wait until the event is filled before they enter that should be enough for everyone!
Anything beyond that is just extremely polite and maybe just bite you instead.

The best way would have the provisional not count for the quota

I doubt the system could distinguish a provisional entry from a regular entry, hence the whole reason for provisionals waiting till the quota is full.

Dan call or text Jennifer and she will take care of it. I've done it on Monday before the race quite a few times. Jennifer Lowe

Re: Dan Fletcher?

Dan, I have no provisional for SS this year so I needed to enter Pomona early to get in.

When entering, the program would not let me enter without using my Stock gold card so I went ahead and entered to make sure I didn’t get shut out.

A few weeks later I went to enter Stock, and their computer program told me the same thing that it was at quota. In the past I’ve waited until 5 minutes before the deadline to enter to let the guys that drop out late and the spot savers time to do their thing...

Lucky I didn’t wait this year as the only way I could get in was the good old fashioned paper entry! They couldn’t go in and fix said glitch. After a few emails, a fax and crossing my fingers I got in. Speaking of glitches you might’ve noticed two #3’s being entered in Stock.

For all the guys that bitch about provisional entry guys entering early. Sometimes things aren’t what they appear...

I would think any high school computer kid could add that option in 5 minutes. NHRA knows who has that status. Other solution, their entry doesn't count against the quota.

We have ADP software at work and were told it can track hourly staff time off but not salaried employees time.???? Same bad software folks?
