best way to get to Numidia Raceway from Baltimore

Hello All.
Looking for the best rt to go from Baltimore area, to Numidia Dragway in Numidia PA.
Driving a Renegade, pulling a stacker.
Want to avoid the hills as much as possible.
Not to familiar with the area.
Tried to map quest it, didn't look to good going that way.
Thanks in advance
Cal

Rt. 322 North to 11/15 North along the Susquehanna River. The road splits in Shamokin Dam, continue following 11 North to Rt. 42, and 42 South will take you right to the track. There's a pretty big hill right outside of Catawissa heading towards the track on 42, other than that, it's a pretty nice drive on mostly four lane highway.

Cal,
Really no way to get up there without hills, about the only thing is to Minimize the hills.

The way we take from (Southern New Jersey/ Philly Area):
476 up to the Pocono Exit and Route 80
Take 80 all the way to Buckhorn Exit and exit 232 (If you get on 80 you can take this way West or East)
Get off there and take route 42 (There is gas stations & a Wal-mart if you need to get fuel or shop)
42 becomes route 11 and you are on there for maybe 1/4 mile and then jump back onto 42.
You will take 42 into the little town of Catiwissa, there is a lot of stop lights in town so when you see the split (42 & 487) stay left and make sure your on the GAS as you will hit a good sized hill....not sure of the grade but, it's a winding hill and you need to make sure your going pretty fast. The Hill will split, bare left as the right side will take you to Knoebels. Going down is a pretty good steep down.
Once you get over the hill, the track will be on your left hand side about 2-3 miles down from the hill. There will be a Blue sign on your right that says Numidia Dragway, once you get through the cornfield, track is on your Left.

10 Dragstrip Rd, Numidia, PA, 17858

Just to add a little more detail,,
83N to Harrisburg to 81S
81S to 22,,just a cpl miles
22 to 15 at Duncan Island
15N to 11N at Shamokin Dam
11N to 42S at Rupert,Catawissa
42S to Dragstrip Road

This is the route we were going to take this year if Bristol was after Numidia like last year. Last year we went to Bristol and took 42 South to get to 81 and we will never do that again!! It was raining and some of the sharp turns and hills were atrocious!! On the GPS It looked good, but we'd do the river route South if we were doing it again. Diesel is alot more expensive in Pennsylvania.
Have a safe trip when it opens,,let's think positive!!

Thanks Everybody.
I think I'll take the Wifey for a little Saturday ride, to check it out before the D1 race.
I'm not much for WHITE KNUCKLE driving the big rig.
And new brakes for that thing is to say the least expensive.
Even with the help of the Jake brake it can be a hand full.
Thanks again
Cal

This is the best way, the run along the river is smooth and flat with very little traffic.

Not the post we wanted to put out -- Numidia Dragway Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series has been postponed. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, the State of PA will not be fully opening prior to June 4. We are working on an alternative date if possible.

Toronto Motorsports Park PC Richard.com National Open Series event has been cancelled and will not be rescheduled.

Virginia Motorsports Park Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series Regional event has changed to October 2-4.

As we progress through this pandemic, we'll keep you updated with any changes. Thank you for your support and patience.
