Could the death have been attributed to that coronavirus in 2020?

Re: R.I.P. Drag Racing
I understand the NHRA has a different business model, how about having races without fans and charge $10 a race to watch online. With unemployment going up every day and the economy in limbo i hope NHRA adjusts their pricing accordingly. Sponsors/Marketing Partners have to be complaining and looking for some form of return on investment or refund. May be the heads of NHRA will take a pay cut????

R.I.P.? Not likely but if the pendulum swings as hard left as some predict it could definitely happen.

Re: R.I.P. Drag Racing
Bad news for myself then. Since we've been down. I up graded my C/SA Dart from a roll bar to a cage. Still working on the 2009 Challenger. I'm building a new 1969 Barracuda for Earl Blake. Oh and I'm also putting a cage in Paul Wong's Cuda. Heading out now to prime a new 426 Max Wedge engine. I hope I can find time to "rest in Peace" I'm at the retirement age as you can tell.

Johnnie D, sorry, but I'm sorry I'm going to call you out again.
The title of this article is nothing other than plain and simple click bait for you, your rag, and your advertisers. Shame on you. |

Re: R.I.P. Drag Racing
this is all crazy. they were going to open up darlinton dragway to 2500 spectators and someone called in a bomb threat?... so they are having a race with no fans.what happens with nhra is yet to be seen. i see it spliting into 2 different organizations, the sportsman series and the pro/monster truck type of show.

Re: R.I.P. Drag Racing
If the Sportsman presence were taken completely out of the equation, Indy, not being exactly a major population center would quickly become indy. The Sportsman Racers make Indy what it is. Special.

Re: R.I.P. Drag Racing
With militants on both sides of the equation if they indeed cancelled fans at Darlington because of a domestic terror threat then we’ve got big problems.

Re: R.I.P. Drag Racing
musical concerts and drag racing. these two events are not good on TV. while i can enjoy both on tv, nothing like being there in person.
just watching a story discussing the live concert industry and they do not believe they will be back in 2020. |
Re: R.I.P. Drag Racing
Darlington had their event, a drag radial, ProMod, N/T event. No spectators. And the place was packed with race cars. Speedvideo did the livestream.
RIP Drag Racing? I'm worried about RIP America with the insanity coming out of the governors' offices. It's like someone gave them the keys to the safe where all the superpowers were kept and they're overdosing. This guy in PA is nuts. Who knows what the rest of the year or even next year will look like. |
